Actually, the dolmathes I've had were vegetarian and stuffed mostly with rice, though many times they also include lamb. Turkey actually tends to have the opposite effect for me, inhibiting my lucidity by leaving me too sleepy. Tryptophan, 5-htp, and melatonin also have the same inhibiting effect for me.
I've been supposing that it's something in the grape leaves themselves.
