      False Lucidity?

      I have had dreams that don't feel like lucid dreams, i just say "hey its a dream" but it diesn't seem like i'm actually controling it..
      EXAMPLE: Weird Ghost things are chasing me then all the sudden i stop and say "hey its a dream!" and the ghosts meld away but the dream ended there..maybe i was just exited but i didn't feel like i had any control

      A lucid dream is simply a dream where you realize that you're dreaming. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have control over it. It sounds to me like you were lucid, although briefly. Now you just have to learn to stay in the dream once you become lucid, and gain control.
