First successful lucid dream... after I gave up

I gave up trying to get lucid dreams a while ago. I just didn't see the methods working. Like I was constantly putting my hand through my other hand to see if it went through, and it never happened in my dreams. But last night I had a lucid dream, my first one that I actually REALIZED I was dreaming.

Hope this doesn't sound weird... I was having a dream I was gliding across these tracks over the ocean and if I let go I would fall down so I was a bit scared so I didn't let go for anything. Then we got to the stop and I hopped off at this platform where people were sitting waiting, doing their thing. I sat down too... And then I realized "This is a dream"... Immediately after I realized that, I got up and tested it out back having sex with the girls that were sitting across, it's weird they all looked exactly like girls i've seen in REAL life. And it felt good a lot better than just jerking off. I didn't wake up at all, the dream was so real But then I woke up after one of the girls started sucking my balls. The end. That was my lucid dream. It's kind of inspired me to try having another lucid dream, except this time on purpose

Hey dreampillow, congrats on your first lucid. MILD/DILD can take up to a few months to see results, since you have to change your behaviors enough to make them into habits (such as RCing or awareness). Now that you've had your first lucid, it should be a little easier for you to have a second LD.

You had a lot of control in your dream! A lot of newbies (like myself) will wake up once they realize they're dreaming. So not only did you finally have a LD, you had a very impressive LD for your first time. I hope you can get your second LD soon. Stay motivated!

      Congrats 'bud!
I'm glad for you to finally have you're first Lucid. What you experienced was a DILD, which can be slightly vivid. Keep your intrest going! It seems as though your dreams have good clarity, you can read on the wiki to find out how to make them even more real.

If you're havng a DILD(Dream Induced Lucid Dream) that's clear like that, you're WILDs(Wake Induced Lucid Dream) will be very intense! Good Luck Dreaming!
      Goals: For now, exploration!.

Congratulation for your lucid dream. In First LD, you controlled your dream that was too good.

      Gratz!

Your dream randomness (the gliding tracks over the ocean) sounds a bit like mine dreams, reading your dream was like I was reading one of my own lol Pretty cool

I sometimes get weird dreams of me riding freakish alien circus rollercoaster like things flipping me all over the place and all I can do is enjoy the ride, hold on Tightly and hope to come out alive. Intense stuff.
