Question A Lucid Dream Within A dream? Lucid Dreaming, Inception Style.

So I started getting interested in Lucid Dreaming about a month ago. Read that the best way to achieve it would be through reality checks and MILD but I had decided to head over to WILD instead of those (don't know why ). I would almost reach sleep paralysis but all went in vain as I often just fell asleep. I would not normally post things but what happened last night has really gotten my interest flaring for Lucid Dreaming.

So last night I went to sleep and apparently my first dream scene was my bedroom and apparently my persona was attempting to WILD (mind that I wasn't lucid currently). I achieved sleep paralysis and then suddenly my body felt like it was floating out of my body and then suddenly I was in some dark space and felt like I was travelling extremely fast into what seemed like a black hole and then I was in a room that looked like a wooden house. While these "apparently odd" things were happening to me, I suddenly deduced that these things are too odd to happen, hence I deduced that I was definitely dreaming. I don't recall properly what happened in that dream later on but I do remember that I told myself, lets think about something sexy but as soon as that happened I started getting excited and as I had read that excitement will wake me up, I forced myself to calm down. Now, the most peculiar part for me is that, during all the time that I knew that I was dreaming, I didn't know that the part in which I attempted WILD was a dream itself. So, my question is was I actually Lucid dreaming?

Thanks if you bother to read all that, I'm really curious to get feedback from you guys!

Hahahaha "think about something sexy" i probably would have done the same thing xD

That's a tough question, though i'd say you were lucid dreaming because you became aware that you were dreaming, even though you were in a dream inside a dream, maybe it was a shallower level of lucidity but you were still lucid or at the very least on the cusp on lucidity. Keep trying! Pretty interesting though to have an OBE while you're sleeping...

Haha! Indeed it was a rather peculiar dream, I have started logging my dreams in a journal and have begun doing reality checks. So let's cross our fingers and hope to die!
