      First lucid dream baby!

Ok, so I wake up at four, and thats when I came to the comp to write that dream I wrote about in a nother thread. So 4:30 I finish writing all that crap, bummed out I didnt recognize it was a dream, so I go back to bed.
Im laying thinking, this is perfect to try that WILD technique! So I relax myself, tightening each muscle group then letting go, seems to work great. So im laying there, and all of a sudden i feel a rush! Its exactly how everyone explains it! My head feels like a huge ball of energy, it seems like im going faster and faster through a tennel with just a few bright images poping up for no more than one second! Bam, I was only able to remember seeing an upside down horse from a chess set. But then all of a sudden, it changes. Im in the dream world! Im riding on a one person mine cart looking thing going on a wierd water slide at a theme park, I finaly come to a stop. Im now fully lucid and so excited! As soon as I get off the cart and realize im dreaming I wake myself up! But not for long! I quickly start thinking about the water slide again and bam! im back in the dream world! i start running around until I find a big tall glass entrance to an indore lobby or something. While im running towards the door happy as hell I begin to fell it drifting again, but i catch it! I see a towel hanging on the door so I decide to fell it to see if the texture feels the same in a dream! I run inside and Im running down this huge hall way with a few people on the sides then i awake!!! Cool stuff

How do you get all the funky "emoticons". HEY!! I WANT COKE AND MUFFINS!!! So basically you laid down and tightened each muscle and let go and then eventually you felt "the energy". Today is the weekand!!!! Do any of yall think that I should set my alarm to 4 30 or so and then go back to sleep in X amount of minutes (how many?) and what should I do while I'm awake (if I should actually do anything)???

Great job liquid....!!!! Your doing better than I am at the moment. I desperately want to do the WILD technique but I can't at least when I'm first going to sleep. Paperdoll how do you do it again?

I know I know... Yes but I tried everything you said on this forum. I didn't have time to the the go back to bed method yet... oh yeah and I read every message and post on the entire forum... (I'm so weird...) and I don't have steven laberge's book and I'm not exactly asking you if I should get it because you will say yes defenitely.

      *sigh*

      look, simple as this:

when you wake up in the morning/night, WITHOUT GETTING UP, TURNING OVER, READING, PEEING, WHATEVER, lie there and picture yourself back in the dream you just left. you SHOULD enter the dream fully lucid. it's worked EVERYTIME i've done it, sometimes it happens so fast i don't even remember waking up.

Thanks. (See everyone, she can be helpful too!) Do you use an alarm clock when you do it because that's the only sure fire why for me to be able to wake up (telling myself to wake up at a paticular time has only worked about once for me, probably a coincedence) unless I tell my brother to and there is no way in hell is he going to get up that early on a weekend. I'll try to get the book next time I go into town... my mom will think I'm a freak (along with some other people).

After I wake up (even at 7 am; damn school) I can't go back to sleep. I'll tell myself to wake up at 4 and it might work; who knows...

ANYWAYS!!! back to my dream!!! This dream I explained to you guys was completely lucid, I was fully aware I was dreaming. However, when I awoke I didnt remember it as if it had happened in real life. As I mentioned I woke up about 2 times in the dream, but very quickly drifted back in to it(fully lucid still) But 1 of the times that I awoke was because I remember thinking to myself, my eyes arnt open? I was running around in my usual body but it was as if I was watching from above(3rd person) a blind man(me) run around! So it wasnt like I was seeing everything from my eyes(1st person)

Also, as I said, I didnt remember my dream as if it was something that happened in real life, however I do remember the dream feeling very real.

      So, feeling=real, memory=sketchy.

Im hoping this was just because it was my first lucid dream and so the clarity wasnt 100%, but has anyone else had this same experience???

That's pretty good compared to my first lucid dream...

      August 22, 2003 - August 23:
This was my first lucid dream ever. It wasn't that good, but practice makes perfect. So here it goes...
I was sitting at a dinner table with me and some other random people. I checked my watch, looked away, then look back and I noticed that the time rewinded 1 minute (during the day before in reality I was wondering if I would notice that in my dream). I checked it a few more times to make sure it wasn't a trick of the light. I shoved my finger through my palm to make sure I was dreaming because I didn't want to jump out the window and hurt myself. After that I leaned over and showed the person across the table. I said, "Hey look, the time changes." The hour was rapidly changing from 5-6-4-5-6 and so on. By now I was shaking violently because I think I was very exited. I ran toward the window and as I ran I saw a couch to my right. I touched it because I've only touched felt one thing in my dream in my life and I wanted to feel in my dream. I was too exited to stabilize the dream (the couch didn't really feel like anything) and when I jumped out the window I woke up. Waking up actually felt quite cool because I could start feeling my eyelids and my body came back slowly.

So you can compare it to that^^^^. It's a lot like yours.. It didn't feel like real life when I woke up.
