      3rd LD, I found my Dream guide!

      After I became lucid through DILD, I started to look for my "dream guide" in the crowd of people. (Initially I was skeptical of the existence of 'dream guides', but after having experienced my own, it seems they ARE real in dreams.) I began asking random people in the line if they were my dream guide, or if they know where my DG was. I looked into the crowd of people, and I noticed a man waving at me. He came closer to me, and before I had a chance to ask him, he said something like "Yes, I am your dream guide." He had very short, brown hair, wore glasses, and he was dressed in a Buddhist monk-type robe. I got really excited, and before I could ask him any questions, I woke up.

      I had forgotten to take my choline bitartrate supplement before I went to bed, so I had a hard time remembering my dream when I woke up. I was extremely disappointed, but when I was taking a shower, it all came back to me. So I hopped out of the shower, and wrote it down in my journal as quick as possible. Hopefully now that I've found my dream guide, I'll be able to have more LDs now that I can recognize him as my DG.

      Anyway, today is just a great day for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing my DG again soon.

      This is assuming that your dream guide doesn't switch avatars, which would make him/her just as hard to find every time.

      Yeah... that would suck. I didn't know they did that. I guess I just always assumed that they would stay the way you met them...

      Not to burst anyone's bubble, but how can you be sure that really was your dream guide? I've had so many DCs openly admit they were my dream guides. (The most recent was a middleaged, caucasian male whose name was Bill. I'm female and Asian, so that was really weird for me since I hear most dream guides are the same sex as you are. Maybe this is totally bogus.) Perhaps they all were my dream guides, just with different looks. But really, how can you really be sure? I'd love to be able to know for certain, too. =(

      hey im new to this lucid dreaming erm whats a dream guide? what do they do please link me or explain. This 1 time i had a dream i was about 8 ish and my mum and my sister got kidnapped by this pyscho i remember going to some guy it was sorta like kill bill and i asked him what should i do and he gave me a sword and said save them when i was fighting the guy he chopped me into little bits... is that classed as a dream guide? he helped me so..? lol sorry im a nuisence

      No. A dream guide (supposedly) represents your subconscious and can tell you how you're feeling and what you should be doing and stuff in real life. You need to be lucid to make use of one.
