    Goodbye for now.

    by Caguda3 on 07-29-2015 at 04:21 PM
This is Day 15 into my LD experience, and as you can read in my Day 11 update I will be traveling to Ecuador for a month, where I hope to have my first LD. Today and yesterday I didn't post because I didn't remember any dreams or perhaps didn't make the proper effort to do so. I may post some entries as I will have limited access to the internet there. I will be instead keeping my dreams hand-written in my dream journal.

    Day 13

    by Caguda3 on 07-27-2015 at 03:42 PM
I feel like now i am able to recall my dreams at will, i always know how it will happen and what I have to do. I just lay in bed and ask myself what my dreams were, and they COME to me. Even when I'm sure I didn't have any, they will always come.

I could remember two dreams, they were both pretty vivid and LONG, I remember the first one in most detail and can't recall a lot of the second one.

I don't remember who I was, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't myself. I had recently out of the blue decided to escape wherever I was and run away. I was in this giant forest where there was a scientific facility. When there was no one around, I started running into the forest. I walked for a little bit, then the slope began to get higher and the foliage thicker. That was when I came to this huge ravine; the drop below was like a bottomless pit. It was all very beautiful however. When I was there, this helicopter flew over me and it was carrying this large what looked like white panel that was probably going to be used for construction. It fell off of the helicopter and came crashing down, taking a couple trees with it and went down into the ravine. I was scared the helicopter would see me, so I hide low among the trees. When the helicopter was gone, I ran, following the edge ravine and in the general direction of where I believed another facility to be. I eventually came to a building where there were lots of people. I managed to sneak in. At some points I had to fight people but I kept running towards the exit. Fast-forward after I pretty much escaped, I was in this Target (the store) and that was where I met this girl who must've been around 20ish, I was around the same age as her although as I previously stated, I wasn't the one having this dream. Anyway for some reason I asked her if she wanted to join me on the run and she said yes. It was decided, we did some things together for a little bit, then the dream fades.

Another dream I had that I was just remembering now; I was at this village with my father and it was getting to be nighttime, I went for a walk for some reason and my dad told me to be careful, I think he was warning me about werewolves and some other evil creatures. There was ALOT more to this dream but I simply can't remember it.

    Day 12

    by Caguda3 on 07-26-2015 at 02:24 PM
I feel like these dreams were more vivd than the others, though still not that vivid. I feel like I want to start practicing techniques that will help me have a DILD.*I'll elaborate, I feel like in my prior post I have recognized enough dream signs that are starting to show up consistently within my dreams.*

I was taking the subway with my mother in NYC. We were waiting for the train at the station when a pulse of light came down from the beginning of the tunnel where the train would come out of and then exited the tunnel and continued down. We were all very confused. Then a dog came through. The form of this dog was very small(almost like a puppy), and after he exited, another one came, but larger. This repeated, the dogs kept getting larger and larger until eventually a werewolf came through(and then a giant rectangular form of a vicious dog), then this morphed into a train that we took. Then the dream shifted, and I was talking on the phone to my friend Michael about how to play a specific piano song. He was telling me over the phone, it was my pointer finger on my left hand and my pointer finger on my right hand, and I heard him playing this song that I wanted to learn how to play over the phone(which he was telling me how to play. I had a big apple danish in my hand, I assume it was for my breakfast(but I didn't like it much). I was again on my way to the train station.

    I can remember another dream.

I don't think I was myself in this dream, I feel like I was a psychotic orphan living in an orphanage. When the morning bell rang, I was on top of the roof and I refused to come down. I don't think I was crazy though, just different. At least that's the way I felt.

    Day 11 Update

    by Caguda3 on 07-26-2015 at 01:14 AM
This is only my 11th day into my attempts to have a lucid dream; though I must say that it already feels like at least 2 weeks. I have decided to forget about actually becoming lucid, and focus more on my dream recall. This seems like one of the most important aspects when talking about lucid dreaming.I need to be able to remember my dreams before I even realize I am dreaming, or else I many not even recall having the dream. I have stopped performing reality checks so often and have been focusing on my dream journal. My goal for now is to remember at least 2 dreams a night consistently. Right now, I am remembering 1 per nights and perhaps a dream fragrant of a second. I find that recalling dreams in the morning is very peculiar; I need to just sit back and think about what I had dreamt the night before and my mind does the rest. At first it usually seems like I can't remember any dreams from the night before and this is discouraging. Then at least one dream just enters into my brain, and it seems silly how I could have even forgot about it. It feels like it's there all along, but hidden until my mind needs to find it. One aspect I'm having trouble with is lucidness(Not sure if this is the right term). It doesn't at all feel as detailed as real life in many of my dreams. Especially when I'm remembering them; it just doesn't feel as vivid. For example, in the main dream I have recorded today, I cannot remember the girls face, even though I feel like I knew her in my dream. No, they certainly don't feel as vivid as real life. This is a skill I hope to work on.

Now I am going to talk about my own possible dream signs. I only have about half a week's worth of dreams, but now I am going to try to take them and analyze the signs I may see them so for the future I can attain lucidity easier.

Themes I've Noticed in my Dreams:
    1. Traveling
    2. Family Members and Relatives
    3. New York City

I'll give a brief explanation for each below.
    1. In almost every dream there seems to be some sort of transportation. In my Day 11 dream, I was at a train station going back to NYC. In my Day 10 dream, I was also at a subway station for most of the dream. For Day 8, I was riding a bicycle. IN my Day 7 dream, I was in a car on the BQE.
    2. In practically all of my dreams, every one except for the one today in fact, I was accompanied by some type of parent/guardian. This may be because I'm used to it as a 14 year old, I go places with adults and have for most of my life and until I become a true adult this may always be the case in my dreams; even when I go to college when there is no family around most of the time my mind may still take time to transition into knowing that I do not have a parent looking over my shoulder throughout my life.
    3. New York City. This is where I was born and raised, however for most of this summer I will not be there, making it the ideal time to lucid dream. I am currently staying in NJ until the end of July; then I will be traveling to Ecuador for August. This means I should be able to recognize in a dream that I am not actually in NYC, though most of my dreams have taken place there.
*I will not be able to bring a computer to Ecuador, so I will not post here throughout August but will keep a hand written dream journal. When I return I will attempt to transfer a months worth of journal entries on here, but that may take some time obviously.

    Day 11

    by Caguda3 on 07-26-2015 at 12:21 AM
I posted this during the nighttime, because I had to leave early to go on a trip but I wrote this in the morning, just didn't get a chance to post it. When I awoke, I lay in bed still trying to remember my dreams. I couldn't recall anything and was disappointed. Then my memories of this dreams started flooding into my head; I remember thinking "Of course!" I definitely see improvement with my dream recall even though I've only been doing this journal for a week and a half.

I had arrived in a different city, I don't know where but I feel like it was Seattle or San something. The place was a law firm, and I was being interviewed to get a job there, almost like an internship or something. It was weird because the boss was an older woman who gave off a very dumbledore-like feel. Maybe like Patty Hewes. She took me to the top floor where my room would be, and there was a mattress. Soon my room had become extremely messy. I can't actually remember doing any work there, but I remember that at one point after I was answering questions for my boss she offered me the job. I said yes. Flash forward and I think that it was time to leave. Like leave the city. I was taking the train. This girl who I can't remember her face, if I did I would remember her name, said she would meet me there. Ah, I remember her now. I'm pretty sure I remember it was this girl from my old middle school. I feel like she acted almost as my guide throughout most of this dream. Anyway she offered to take the train with me and told me that it was on track 2/3 and gave me my ticket. I went down to the marina where there were also train tracks, but I got very confused and purchased another ticket onto the wrong train or something. Eventually I realized where the right train was and asked a conductor whether or not the train was going to "New York Penn," the station I usually get on. Now that I'm on the train, I start looking for the girl, but since I can only see people's heads, I look for her hair. Now that I'm thinking about it, I think it was a different girl because I remember her hair color was being a darkish blonde, yet the two I thought the girl was share the same first name. I spot her soon enough and go up to her and take a seat. Then an amount of time passes, or maybe this is even a different dream. I am on the top of a train, sitting down, it's cold. I'm in a seat because it's normal for there to be seats there...can't recall the rest.
