    Messed up shit...

So this morning's back-to-bed session left me with one of those weird sensations where you wake up with the feelings still floating around in your brain, a dream hangover of sorts. I usually don't experience those unless I've been unfaithful to my Wife or something terrible has happened to somebody dear to me. Something else I realized is that I have this recurring scenario where I'm in the apartment where my Mother & I lived when I was growing up. If I can just get myself to to realize that I'm dreaming whenever I'm there (Buckethead dream, Metallica dream) I could have a very handy dream sign.

So, I'm in the apartment I grew up in with a few people, including my now deceased Father. We are just sitting around. I go to the bathroom and it is all torn apart as if in the process of renovations. I call to my Wife and start to tell how unhappy I am about all of this, what a complete waste of time and money it is. She doesn't seem to care at all. I'm still ranting as I follow her into the bedroom when I realize that the bedroom is all torn apart as well. Now I'm really angry. I go back out in to the living room and sit with my Dad. As we are sitting there my Wife comes out... TOPLESS! I'm flabbergasted! Incredulously I say nastily "Nice tits!" and she goes back to the bedroom. I wake up.

I feel very odd when I awake, the feelings are still fresh. Every time I looked at the bathroom features (toilet placement, tub placement, etc.) they changed and moved around. I think that if I can just get myself to remember that whenever I am in the apartment on Sherbrooke Street I must be dreaming that I can very easily get myself to realize that I am dreaming.

Note to self: If I am in the apartment on Sherbrooke Street I AM dreaming.
If I am in the apartment on Sherbrooke Street I MUST BE dreaming.

    New Journal: Day 1

    Statement of intent.
Ordering some Alpha Brain tomorrow & planning on getting serious about my lucid dreaming.
    Again.

For whatever reason, my old journal is not usable anymore so I'm starting a new one.
I'm off work awaiting surgery, as a result I'm getting too much sleep again, improving my dream recall.
Coupled with the Alpha Brain I'm optimistic that I will have some good ones.
