Here's some things I learned about LD'ing that I feel I should share with other beginners:
1.Be Patient! It's going to take some practice and effort to LD.
2. Don't expect to LD. You should believe you can LD but approach it with the mentality of "If it happens, it happens, if it doesen't, it doesen't"
3. Never say that you can't LD. That mentality will impair your ability to LD, and can lead to frustration.
4. Be consistent. If you can't practice a technique because life is a little too stressful at the moment, then at least practice recall and keep your dream journal going. Not DJ'ing for a few days can hurt your progress.
5. Dream recall is very important!
6. Don't try a bunch of techniques at the same time. Try to stick to one or two techniques that compliment each other and master them. Give each technique at least one to two weeks before trying something else.
7. Don't get frustrated. It's nothing to stress over, if you don't LD then enjoy the regular dream you had.
