A dream that I really like

by Ymir on 08-26-2016 at 04:43 PM
This was recent. Maybe before the bloody teeth dream but I thought a lot about it and I didn't wanted to post it till I understand it full. I have my own take on this, but someone else's help might help. I know that this site is not about making sense of dreams, but maybe someone could help me understand it better.

In this dream I walk through a strange rundown building, neither an office building or a hospital but a strange mix of the two. There is no furniture in the building and there is debris everywhere. The glass from the big windows are missing and outside is dark and there's a full moon. I'm in one of the floors, elevated from the ground although I do not know which one exactly. I walk through the corridor, avoiding the glass shards and debris in my way and occasionally looking out the window. I'm in first person view. I only where a black shirt, black pants and no shoes or socks that's why I walk super carefully. Another important part is that I do not know if I am man or woman - in my dreams I frequently change genders, like it has no meaning to my dream self whether I am one or another. Now I am none.

On the end of the corridor there is a hospital emergency door, in pretty good shape. I open the door and enter the empty room. There is no medical equipment in the room but here to is junk and debris, the middle of the room stands a very old wardrobe, one from my childhood that usually contains my parents clothes and the same one that once I needed to paint white. It is a little bit dull now, but empty and stands wide open.

I can make the decision of whether get into it or not. I do not think this is lucid dreaming because this where like options like in a video game: yes or no. I choose yes and get inside the wardrobe closing it. Inside there was darkness but there was a triangle shaped keyhole which I could peep through. It was oozing this strange orange light.

When I look through it I see a strange, small and pathetically empty room. But it was still littered with papers and books, like a room of a very busy writer, but without any place to put the papers so they just piled up and went forgotten. Before the wardrobe where I could see stood an old and plain table, like a small dining table for two or four person, but now it was pushed up to the wall and burdened with papers and books, the same way like the floor was. There's an uncomfortable wooden chair that is shoved aside and a man standing in front of the table, blocking the light so I couldn't tell that it was coming from a candle or an old lamp. The man is busy putting things away or way from his way. But instantly I knew that this man, this person was me in the future or in an alternative universe achieving the biggest goal. The goal that I too want to achieve: he became a great writer, a writer who had work and did nothing just work and create and all the papers and books were his creation.

At this point I started to envy the man. I was at a point of my life where I couldn't create, I couldn't write, I still can't toady! An unbreakable writers block is before me and I'm suffering and my heart clenches and I can't breath as I watch him from the closet. Wanting to come out but it is not my option.

When I think this, he stops whatever important thing he was doing and slowly turns, looking at the closet. He has my face, and he is me. Looking at me. He noticed, he knew. Then steps before the furniture with a firm step and looks inside the hole. It looked like the all seeing eye, the symbol of a god, looking right into my eye. What did he see while he looked inside? Did he see a god staring out of the closet, some hope from his past self? Or did I see a god in my image? Disturbing but I can't look away. I'm not that strong to disobey him.

But this me has blue eyes, and that struck's me. I have green eyes.

As we stair into each other's eyes the room from the outside starts to spin and starts to get dizzy. I get dizzy and the world over there blurry. When the spinning comes to a stop there's a white light coming inside. Cold and uncaring, is what the feeling that washes over me and I open the door.

Outside another room with almost glowing, shining walls and uncanny cleanness. The room is small, again, and has three doorways, with the door frame without the actual door, they lead into three different corridors and they are dark. One can not see anything.

I am small. The wardrobe compered to the room and the doors is small of course me in with it. The room however is full with a crowed of monsters made out of tar, oil and every nasty black liquid that exists on earth. They have sharp teeth and eyes glowing bright white like the wall of the room, they belong here and don't belong here and the black clothing that I were resembles their black slickly-slimy bodies. They find this resemblance funny and laughable. The room is filled with mocking and bad laughter as I open the door and peek out. They mock me because I could never be like them and I won't even reach the greatness that they represent like they are authority figures above me. That's the air they radiate, and the smell of a swamp. They tar is everywhere on the floor.

Here is another choice: step out or stay. I jump out and as I land right in the middle of the mocking circle and as my bear feet reaches the ground I feel the cold, white floor. I missed the tar, thankfully. But the moment I land I start to grow and expand, the room grows with me, the doorways too and I'm so surprised I can't even talk. I look down, always look down but now I am the one who's filling up the room, the ceiling reaching the top of my head and I feel superior. I made it. The laughter dies out and the now small creatures, monsters stare up at me. I see their little eyes sparkle as the blink, but their mouths now are closed and there's nothing but awkward silence.

    Then I woke up.

    Animals

by Ymir on 08-26-2016 at 03:30 PM
Aside from the reacquiring flying and falling dreams which I do not like to talk about there are my dreams with animals. These get forgotten very quickly because I do not give them too much meaning.

    1. Crocodiles in the living room.
In this dream I have thousands of crocodiles and alligators down in the living room. I run many times down to the kitchen to get things to my brother but once I slip and almost get eaten by the animals. I do not have a fear of alligators and their cousins, I do not live in a place here I could ever meet them. I remember joking about the situation to my friends through the phone and they too visited me in my dream - although I do not remember if it was at the first part or at the last part - and dodges the crocodiles skillfully to get to the floor we were on. But in the end it was me who needed to get food from the kitchen and run. That's when I slip. I almost died because of my friends.

    2. Giant spider.
At the top of the stairs there is a little hall that divide the two upstairs rooms. In this dream my house is accurate, and since it was made by my father it has nothing that resembles the stereotypical house structure. That's how many rooms are in the top floor, two bedrooms and a hall dividing them. My brother and I need to go through from one room to another but the way is blocked by a giant spider that leaves little room to move in the square hall. But it is docile and I feel the abdomen brushing to my stomach as i squeeze through the spider. Disgusting.

    Fragments from younger days

by Ymir on 08-26-2016 at 03:15 PM
I had many dream when I was younger that were fragmented only remembering pieces of them. I decided that now is a good moment to write them down. At least the ones that I can remember.

    1. Prince's guard
This dream happened two different time, and I had a strange feeling that it happened more than that I'm just unable to remember. In both dreams I am a knight, a personal body-guard of a young prince who is exiled from his country. In the first dream the kingdom, Persia - that's how I recall it, way back in the old days - was attacked and conquered by Roman soldiers. I remained at the young prince's side and managed to keep him safe. While we were running, a princess from a foreign kingdom joined us, which meant more work for me. I do not remember who it ended. The second dream was shorter. Again a personal guard, but now I just stand in the back ground and watch as my prince gets betrayed by his own blood brother and sentenced to death. I'm the only one who steps up and defend making us both traitors. I don't know how this dream ended either, but while the other was pretty positive this one was devastating. I think we both died. But what remained from the dreams was my undying loyalty to an exiled, banished prince.

    2. Serial killer
This dream too happened two times. I'm a serial killer. The first doesn't leave to much impression, it just the way that I used to dispose of the bodies. I buried them with pig carcasses. The second time, my actions is not my own. I kill people then behead them. I do it because I was ordered to by a supernatural entity which face I could not remember. It was tall and slender, imagine it like the Slenderman, the only difference is that he had a face, I was the one unable to remember it. (Just for saying, I hate the Slenderman myth, it's not scary... And I certainly don't want to think of myself as one of his proxies or what not.) It's like there was nothing that could remain in my mind and while I acted in the dream I felt my mind being foggy. I do not know how I wake up.

    3. Train hijacker
In this dream I try to hijack a train with an engine already ready to explode and the people on the train either screaming or trying desperately to stop me. I remember a certain rush that I felt when I climbed a top of the train and felt the wind as the train rushed with more speed that was necessary and the view. There was a bridge and the ocean lighted up with orange light by the sunset and I thought "This is a good day to hijack a train."

    4. Wolf father
This is one of my childhood nightmares. I do not remember much, just that I watch myself from third person. I sit on the top of the stairs - maybe four years old - and my father is yelling at the room below. I don't cry, but I am scared. Then suddenly my father sticks his between the frames of the stairs and bangs his head hard in the ceiling. I remember that I was surprised, my father is not that tall. But then he is starting to transform into a wolf, not a werewolf as in half man and half wolf, but a full wolf and I remember crying that I need to escape while I can. I do not however and I can not remember how this ends.

    5. The ghost detecting hair-dryer
Let's end this on a happy note. In this dream I possessed a hair-dryer that could detect ghosts which ever direction it was blowing the hot air, when it detected it the machine started to beep loudly. I chased a ghost through my room while jumping on furnitures.

Thank you for listening. I started to have more dreams recently, but I keep forgetting them. It is time that I record my old dreams and try to remember the new ones too.

No development in the lucid dreaming section. But I'm working on it.

    Warning, Gory dream about teeth

by Ymir on 12-02-2015 at 06:25 PM
This dream contains blood. You been warned. Honestly, I don't know if this kind of dream is excepted here.

    2015/12/1

This is the first dream I was able to remember, it is rather bizarre so it will come with a warning; for anyone reading this contains blood and self-mutilation.

The scene is my home, mainly my bedroom and the kitchen. I was just walking by, doing whatever I was doing, an interesting music was playing from somewhere, it didn't had any lyrics just instrumental. I did not recognized the music but it was soothing. I was talking with my family members while doing my thing but suddenly I felt the need to look at my teeth so I did.

There was a mirror in my bedroom, some place where I would never put it if I wouldn't be dreaming. When I open my mouth - and here comes the gory part - I see blood leak from my gums and the first thought I have is that there's something wrong with my teeth. It didn't scare me, though I know it should have but I started to pick at it. Some of them where moving, like when you first start to lose your baby teeth. So I start to pick them out just like I did when I was younger. This recalled a memory, when I was small and I lost my baby teeth I picked them out one by one forcefully or slowly. I repeat this in my dream fully knowing that these won't grow back. The majority of my teeth come out fairly easy, counting in that I yanked them out with scaring careless movement and in the dream I could feel the pain and burning feeling as my tooth left my gums one after another.

As I was doing this I walk around the house working, doing thing that I would usually do and none of my family members realized what am I doing even though I was doing it in front of them and while I removed my teeth we started to talk about everyday life and what not - I don't really remember.

After that the dream doesn't end. I go on picking my teeth carrying them in my palm and counting them. The dream just fades away and I wake us slowly.

I don't know where to post this. I think nightmare category would be good, just for a heads up for the viewers, but for me this wasn't that big of a deal dream wise.
