Thread: What does my dream mean?

Help...

I've suffered greatly over the last few weeks of having a reoccurring nightmare. I am normally a lucid dreamer, light sleeper and suffer greatly from changes in time and don't sleep well or long at the best of times... My ability to control my dreams has deteriorated recently, and has been replaced by a nightmare where I feel like I am dying. It's dark, I know, but it's not the same as a fainting dream. I can be doing something very mundane in my dream and then suddenly, all is black and I have a sensation of falling followed by nothing. I'm aware of being in my body, but it won't work anymore and it can stay like that for what seems like a very long time before I can force myself to wake up. Sometimes, I also feel like my teeth are being smashed and become aware of my jaw tensing and it won't release.

Has anyone else had this or something similar? Any ideas what it could mean? I'd really appreciate any help!
