      Nightmares doing their best

So I'm really not sure if this has been asked or not. But I'm going to ask it anyway.
So I haven't had any bad dreams in probably a year or more, or, I don't call them bad dreams. It's like my subconscious is a different being, trying it's best to scare me. I always feel invincible, or like I don't really care.
      Has anybody else experienced this?

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

That's interesting. So you mean to say that you are not stressed when you have these "false nightmares"?

Not at all! I sometimes laugh at it's feeble attempts! It's kinda hard to explain.

I experienced it my entire life until a loss in 2007. Some people like to distinguish between "scary dreams" and nightmares. I only ever had 1-or-2 scary dreams a year most of my life.

Years later, I had to refresh my lucid skills to combat a barrage/season of nightmares that were of a completely different quality than I had before. These ones were the most vivid dreams of my entire life. They make all but 2 of my old nightmares look like "exciting dreams."

Yeah, after reading a different thread I now realize I mean "Scary Dreams" not "Nightmares". My bad.
So are you're saying you started seeing these bad dreams as dreamsigns?

Nightmares are terrible things. I had a series of nightmares once where the end of the world was occurring in different ways. They always start out normal and somehow usually in an instant the change occurs that you can feel in your dream. It's weird but I think I learned some part of how to cope with dying in those dreams. So it wasn't that they were ultimately horrifying which they are at first but that in the end you overcome your fear and maybe that's the point of a nightmare.

So are you're saying you started seeing these bad dreams as dream signs?
Yes. Lucidity built up gradually over weeks. It felt like pushing a car. The nightmares were accompanied by a profound sensation of inexplicable fear. I do not scare easily and I have never been that afraid in waking life. Overwhelming terror became a dream sign.
