Experience with TDCS/CES? Experience with Mind-Alive David Delight PRO?

Hello! First thread. You all are lovely people.

I have been using brainwave entrainment and audio-visual stimulation for years and did my undergrad thesis in Psych on brainwave entrainment. Brainwave entrainment changed my life. My question, though, is about a device that includes cranial electrical stimulation along with audio-visual stimulation --- the Mind-Alive David Delight PRO. Have any of you used this device or one like it?

I have a Photosonix Luma 10 that I've used for audio-visual entrainment... but this is my first time with a device with CES or TDCS capability.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ah, I've heard of tDCS but never used it, never heard of audiovisual entrainment though I've used binaurals before, can u share how they've effected you so far?

      Nice first thread

I think a lot of people are waiting for something commerically avaliable to come out of this -

It's mentioned many places (but not confirmed) that patents have been filed for the method.. and a few have reported success with homemade devices, but there's a huge gap between 'working' and 'consumer product' so it could it be a while before we see something becoming a big hit at an affordable price.

      Actually foc.us -

      - could possibly Work for LD. Note that you do get the 40Hz option... Of course it can't detect REM, so you would need to combine it with WBTB.

      Anyone tried this?

Unfortunately I haven't tried any of these devices.. Although there's some doubt about the study that claimed 75%+ success rate, there's little doubt that the theories are sound. Even if at say 50% success rate it's still pretty amazing.

      Hi,
I have an Oasis CES device and a David Delight mind machine (without CES). I have used both in combination with WBTB especially the Oasis. I mostly used 100 Hz and 0.5 Hz and had some success, but by no means on a regular basis.
Recently I leared that 25 Hz and especially 40 Hz are the best frequencies to use. I tried 25 (the Oasis only goes up to 25), but had no success.
Even more recently, I bought a PEMF device (magnetic field therapy) for various ailments which can do frequencies between 1 and 10000 Hz. I've been experimenting with it for a couple of times using the 40 Hz, but without success yet. I think it is vital that you get the 40 Hz while you already are in REM. Since my 3000 $ device doesn't work with a timer I built a second one just for the purpose of LD. You only need 3 components: A smartphone with a frequency generator app, an amplifier and a coil. Smartphone and amplifier can be started by timers. I'm currently experimenting with this setup.

ikkyuzeji, that is amazing. Stay safe and let us know the results of your experimenting.

There is an entire thread about this aproach, with some experiments of DV members.
There also is Luciding which is working on making those devices.

Hi, Kaan, thanks for the reference to the 40 Hz thread.

I've tried the 40 Hz magnetic pulse setup a few times, and I'm rather sure I hit the REM phase (by using a timer), but it didn't produce any LDs. Actually I'm not sure if a magnetic pulse leads to a brainwave entrainment. On the other hand, maybe the intensity was not high enough. For the time being I've stopped experimenting, because I'm a bit discouraged. I think it would be a lot easier if there were also other guys trying it, so we could exchange experiences.

I have an Oasis pro with 40hz capability. You need to request the 40hz feature from Mindalive when you purchase it or they can send you an audio file by email, then load the 40hz program via a cord with headphone jacks on both ends. I also have it programmed to run for 3 hrs straight. I have used it during WBTB and when I randomly wake up in the middle of the night. I have had zero success. I have searched the net looking for other people who have tried the 40hz TACS method to help induce lucidity and posted their results, but I haven't found anything, especially since Foc.us came out with their TACS device. If this 40hz TACS method is so good as is claimed by Voss in her research, then why aren't more people talking about it? Why hasn't there been another study on the subject since? Why aren't we reading about all the success stories in LD forums? Its been almost two years now since Voss's report. I haven't used the Oasis Pro in a couple weeks now because I got discouraged with it but I think I will start trying it again. There is one thing I'm excited about. Foc.us has a cable pack with four cables with hydrogel pads. So I will put one pad behind each ear and one on each side of the upper forehead just like Voss did but with four pads instead of two. I just need an adapter for the Oasis Pro to the cable pack.
