I filled out your survey! My spiritual intelligence is low, but I'm a decent lucid dreamer.

Oh, thank you dolphin! Your response is the only one for now, but I hope, there will be much more responses. The goal is, that tonight I was dreaming about dolphins, I was playing with them and feeding them, but I did not reveal that is just a dream. My shame! But as I remember, it was for first time that I had dolphins in my dreams.

Yes, I have tried 4 more and still trying there too. I have a little problem with a promotion because everywhere it is in research section, which is not interesting for everyone.

Nice survey.It was interesting but I felt for question 4 and 5 it would have been better if I could choose more than one .^^ I also found a few questions with the numbers hard to answer but looking it over again it was probably just me.

Thank you very much for participation on research and for your answer too. I know that survey is not perfect, but is hard to fit it for everyone and get everything into a few options and perfect categories. Working with multiple choices will create a new dimensions for interpretation, so the goal is to choose only one option, which is fittest to you. Maybe in qualitative research will be more room for individual customization, but this setting is sufficient for purpose of quantitative research.

Its okay. I understand. I only mentioned question 4 and 5 because it felt like I had to split a important part of my answer when choosing. Which might not be very helpful because it was like i had to pick randomly between my preferred choices but i guess its something.

Today we reach level of 80 responses! That is a count, which is really good for my research and I am so happy for it. But research is still running until end of this week, so I am curious, if this number can go even higher. Everything over 100 responses will be ultimate for my project!

Looks like a lot of people here are deep thinkers. The Mods should open a Philosophy section in the forum. We'd get some good conversations going there. Only downside is that the section would have the potential to get cancerous. But warnings from Mods can get rid of most of that.

This survey was difficult for me. I honestly think that I am too philosophical to be able to answer the questions. I can systematically defy each and every question.

Hi Sloth! Thank you for your answer. Questions about spirituality are from SISRI-24, which is validated psychological scale for measuring spiritual intelligence. I have just designed questions about LDs, which are in the begging. I think, that every question in SISRI-24 is a littble bit open, which create a broad place for discussion. The point is just to put a number on that place, which you think is fittest for you. I know, that with too much thinking, it seems to be impossible task. But that all is problem regarding to whole spirituality too - whether we are speaking in academic discourses (from sociological, psychological or historical point of view), or in philosophical and even in esoteric view, there are so many problems with characterizing and definition of spirituality, that only thing left for us is to do compromises. That means, that it needs to be aware of weak and strong aspects of each conceptualization etc. So, I just want to say, that you are not the only one, which are having trouble with that.

Question 2: "I recognize aspects of myself that are deeper than my physical body.
I recognize aspects of myself that may be deeper then my physical body, however there is no way to know for sure if I am actually recognizing anything deeper, plus I do not believe that there is anything "deeper" even if it is considered by many to be metaphysical, or underlying. Our reality is what it is. If it turns out that our minds are actually 9th dimensional constructs of spiritual energy and ectoplasm and even God, then that is the physical nature of the universe, and therefore my body, in itself is it not?

4. I am able to enter higher states of consciousness or awareness.
What denotes one state of consciousness as being "higher"? Are not all forms of consciousness real in at least a relative way, and therefore equally valid? Is my consciousness "higher" than that of a autistic savant? They can do things that I cannot. If I was to be able to explain all things regarding reality would that be "higher" in that it would be a good use of my brain power? After all, what would we do with such knowledge? Would this knowledge be more important or "higher" than the realization that all I need to do is eat, sleep, and drink water, or that nothing matters and I should simply wait for death?

5. I am able to deeply contemplate what happens after death.
Anything that I contemplate would be a construct of my own imagination and preconceived notions. Yes. I have a full model of the universe that includes the 5th dimensional shape of our destinies after death, but is that truly what happens after death? I don't necessarily believe that there IS an "after" death, for when we are no longer limited by our 3rd dimensional perception of a 4th+ dimensional universe all concepts of time become meaningless.

6. It is difficult for me to sense anything other than the physical and material.
I refer back to question 2. Is there necessarily a difference between the "physical" and anything else? If we discovered a soul, and then we found out how souls work and how they affect the universe would that not then be considered part of the physical realm?

7. My ability to find meaning and purpose in life helps me adapt to stressful situations.
I'm not sure how this can possibly be judged as a part of spiritual intelligence. Perhaps it doesn't because I've never thought about the meaning of life, or existence or anything else. OR MAYBE I have discovered a horrifying and bitter truth regarding our existence that defies all meaning and purpose and causes even more stress.

8. I can control when I enter higher states of consciousness or awareness.
By the common definition of "higher states of consciousness" anyone could do this using entheogens, could they not?

11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 22, 23, and 24 are all covered by my above points.

20. I recognize qualities in people which are more meaningful than their body, personality, or emotions.
Meaningful to whom? Meaningful to me? Why would that matter? Perhaps meaning is relative. Again, what makes us think that any particular aspect of reality is any more important or deeper than another?

21. I have deeply contemplated whether or not there is some greater power or force (e.g., god, goddess, divine being, higher energy, etc.).
I have no problem with the actual question here, but I'm afraid every person who is a devout religious type is going to answer strongly yes, even though they have never actually thought about it. Just because you think about the fact that you believe that there is a God all the time doesn't mean that you have actually contemplated whether or not there is one.
