Person A goes back in time and kills his/her father, so person A doesn't exist. But if they don't exist, they didn't kill their father, so they DO exist. But if they exist, they killed their father, so they don't exist. But if they killed their father, they don't exist, so they didn't kill their father. But if they don't exist, they didn't kill their father, so they DO exist. But if they exist, they killed their father, so they don't exist. That proves the impossibility of time travel. The concept of time travel contradicts itself, as you illustrated.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

      This statement is wrong[/b]
That proves the impossibility of language. The concept of language contradicts itself, as I illustrated.

One might call that sentence a paradox in itself?

But forget the parents. Forget killing everyone. Make it simple.
You have a reason to go back in time to change the past. Once it's changed, you no longer have any reason to go back in time so you would not.

      Nobody dies.

Person A goes back in time and kills his own father (as horrible as that is) before being born himself. Person A disappears from existence - thus is the result of his time travel.

Person A goes back in time and alters the past to affect the future - the future is changed and Person A fades from the past, remaining in one instance - his present but now altered in the needed way. Thus is the result of his time travel.

      What's so paradoxical?

The fact that you're assuming that every point in time is happening at every instance, and, more importantly, that if this was so then you might fade away in the past but your present copy would still exist even if you did happen to kill your parent.
