Was this a low-level lucid dream of some sort?

Last night I had a dream where I definitely remember feeling wonderful about the fact that I could fly, and I would do wicked somersaults in the air and whatnot and feel wonderful about it, and I even kept levitating for a while after reaching the ground, just because I could.
And I sort of had this nagging feling in the back of my head that it was because I was "in that special place", although I cannot exactly say that I was fully lucid or anything - it was more a feeling of being in the unique realm where everything is possible, and where I knew that I was "lucid", without fully understanding what that word meant.
Is this perhaps some kind of low-level lucidity of some sort?
I definitely felt that I was on the very brink of being lucid, at the very least.

Yes. Lucidity is not black and white, there are many variations between being fully lucid and being completely nonlucid. If you want to learn more, I would defiantly recommend checking out Reecejones87's video series called 'The five layers of lucidity' on youtube.

Generally, being partially lucid is a sign that you are very close to becoming fully lucid, so if you are aiming to become lucid dreams, you're nearly there.

      I second ReeceJones87 as a good reference.

I would say you were 99.999 percent lucid!

Edit: I like how your asking this question with your LD count as high as it is.

Lucid dreaming is realizing you are in a dream. If you didnt then maybe it wasnt. There are many different type of lucid dreams like where you realize you are dreaming but dont fully understand it is and those were you understand what it excatly it means be in a dream and its possibilities and everything between those. I have lots of those low and mid quality lucid dream which arent that impressive but when you have those full understanding of lucidity they are always mind blowing.
I myself call those what you had half lucid dreams. There arent from my knowing any offical names for them.

I would say 'yes'. Calling it 'lucidity' (even at a low level) could bring problems with semantics, but there are certainly levels of 'awareness' that come close to being lucid, and even lucidity, itself, is not black and white, as others have said. It's common to get into that state of mind where "I know that this isn't right, or shouldn't be happening, but I'm not aware enough of my orientation to know that I'm actually in a dream". This are much more 'aware' dreams than normal, and could mean the dreamer is but seconds away from actually figuring it out (becoming actually lucid).
