Another lucid dreamer in my dream?

I had a lucid dream last night where the dream character told me he was also a lucid dreamer. I joined your forum to read of others who may have had the same kind of experience. Also I would like to learn of other's different techniques to become lucid and what people are learning through lucid dreaming on consciousness and personal growth.

I've met a few people in dreams who either told me they were also lucid dreamers, or I felt that they were. One time when I asked for a guy's name or a way to contact him, he gave me a symbol on a piece of paper. I was unable to find anything resembling it in waking life.
Another time I met an older woman who apparently was in prison in her waking life. She seemed surprised that I was not also in prison.

I am trying to explore consciousness and personal growth in lucid dreams, but so far I have not made much progress.

Thank you for your replies! I hope for the next time that happens I am lucid enough to ask for a name or address or something to see if this could be verified..this is truly fascinating to me.

That would be my first idea. Try to get an email or something. I plan on experimenting with this once I get better. Without outside verifiable proof in my it's all projection. At least for me.

I've also encountered some people that I felt were lucid dreamers and have also been approached by some people and at one time by a humanoid like being that recognised me as a lucid dreamer. This humanoid like being even tried to transport me into a different dream/dimension place as it caused my body to vibrate intensily and I briefly saw myself in another place full of humanoid beings that resembled this one. They were silver in colour and had some marks in their skin on their face and no hair.

As for finding these people in waking life seems unlikely, I always try to at least have the name of the DC so that I can at least find them again in a lucid dream. Whether it is a projection or not it is definitely interesting as to why this happens and what's important at the end of the day is to enjoy the experiences, even if they are not "True".

If you want to attempt verifying shared dreaming, it's probably better to plan on meeting someone you know in a dream. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone personally to try this with. Pretty sure some people on the forums are up to it. I believe there's even a thread or two about it.
