Rested after sleeping a total of 12 hours in two nights...?

Can you be rested if you have only slept 12 hours in two nights?
Two nights ago I slept for only 5 hours, and I was failry tired yesterday, and then I went to bed at 11 PM last night, woke up 4:30 AM, and then fell asleep shortly afterwards and slept until 6:30 AM - and I slept just under an hour at that time, so I have barely slept for a total of 12 hours these two nights.
But for some reason I felt quite rested when I got out of bed this morning, and I still do.
Can you really be fully rested after sleeping this little?

It really depends on when you last slept. If you sleep 5 hours, stay up for 10 hours, then sleep 7 hours, you should easily be fully rested. However if you sleep 5 hours, then stay up 16 hours (normal day) and then only sleep 7 hours, you will probably won't be fully rested.
In essence, sleep isn't just a matter of numbers though. A lot of factors play into it, sometimes you want to sleep a little longer because your body is exhausted, other times it's your mind that needs sleep.

You should average 6-8 hours a night. I do not see why sleeping an average of 6 would be a problem?
