How would depriving your body of sleep give you telekinetic powers, or improved memory?! |
Well, I wlll sleep deprive myself again, however I have a new objective. Which is to improve my memory. Memory is worse in sleep deprived patient because the temperal lobe is less active, which causes poor memory. |

that' what I was wondering |
Photographic memory, in the sense that psychologists define it anyway, does not exist. |
Really? How do you explain this? |
Photographic memory is not a learnable trait I'm afraid - this has already been proven using brain scans. However, you can achieve a very high level of memory by practicing mnemonics. The best memorizers in the world are normal people who have devoted years of time to these mnemonics. They are able to remember entire hour-long speeches word for word, hundreds of randomly generated digits in minutes, etc. |
Photographic memory, as it was explained to me, is the ability to look at a vaguely complex photograph and remember it exactly. Like if it's a photo of a girl eating apples beneath a tree, you have to remember how many birds were in the sky, what color her socks were, if any leaves were yellow, if there were any weeds in the grass, etc. |

Oh Adam, firstly the man drew it "near" perfect, secondly that is an autistic savant (however you spell that), which hardly represents the general populous. |
Near perfect? For the size of the image and the way it was done, it is still pretty damn impressive |
A good friend of mines younger brother is autistic with a clinically defined photographic memory. It's incredible, but its a natural talent not a learned one. |

Starting from scratch
Ah sorry, then I should have said does not exist for you or me, or for the average joe who claims to have it! :p |

How I discover what my dreams are about
In my last lucid dream I made pink sparks between my palms. I was trying to make a white ball of energy...
