There could be many reasons Why you can't take a nap during to day, try to find what's keeping you awake...

      That's just my opinion

I say the same thing as tekmo, there could just be an obstacle keeping you awake.

Maybe too much caffeine, too much physical exertion [they say it's not good to exercise right before bed because the blood gets pumping and it's harder to sleep, or so they say], too much something. Maybe it's not comfy enough where you try to nap or your mind's too active or something...

      It's just a thought...

I have the same problem with sleeping during the day. It's almost like I keep checking to see if I'm asleep yet. I managed to have 1 nap since when I was a little kid and I woke up feeling sick and couldn't remember any dreams. A big problem for me is light because even with the blinds shut its really bright in my room, so I have to put a blanket or pillow over my head and then I got too hot and then I checked my watch and then I wondered why I was trying then I gave up. Yep thats how most go but that one I did have was terrible. I think I'll stick to WILDs in the daytime now.

Yeah the days seem really short if you wake up late and then nap. Plus then you can't get to sleep that night and have to repeat it the next day. What a vicious cycle. Although its not a waste if you get an LD. Like I said before I will only WILD now instead of napping because then I'm pretty much guarenteed an LD if I fall asleep.

So if you are able to nap, it may be only doing so once a week. Luckily though, I get plenty of nap time at school

Try some music that relaxes you. Nothing that will interrupt your concentration. Music helps some nap without going into a deep sleep. I know it helps me at least

Yeah, I've never been much of a napper myself. The only time I feel like taking a nap is when I haven't gotten enough sleep in the first place in which case I prefer to correct my sleep schedule rather than trying to work around it my napping. But that's just me.
