You were right to let your mind wander, there is two popular ways to progress from here, either passive thoughts, where you don't really pay attention to anything and just let your mind wonder (whilst remaining aware), and there is visualized progression, where you attempt to visualize something, it could be falling, sinking, floating.

Good links, but I forgot to tell the most common misstake people do when they WILD, and here's where I am stuck on traditonal WILD.
When you finally get to sleep paralysis or even partial sleep paralysis, and you hear a sound or see an image or any new non-physical experience, it's already a dream and you are lucid, so if you get too excited or afraid, the dream sleep paralysis will slip away. And the solution to this is the same as to everything else, experience. When you have pracctised long enough to not get excited by these sensations anymore, you can move on.
