      Attempting WILD...

Tonight I'm going to attempt to WILD, I've set my alarm to go off at 6am, however I have a few questions. After you wake up, how long do you 'relax' for in bed before you go into the transitional stage? And will WILD work at 6am?
Penny: So what do you say Sheldon, are we your X-men?
Sheldon: No, the X-men were named for the X in Charles Xavier. Since I am Sheldon Cooper, you will be, my C-men.

i have never had a successful wild but i wake up at about 6 relax for 5-10 minutes then attempt it but since wild is so difficult to master i sugest you try DEILD it is much easier and you skip the entire SP stage! But WILD is very hard to do unless your a natural (unlike me) the farthest ive ever gotten with WILD is the feeling like I was starting to go to sleep consciously.
      Good Luck!

A WILD can work any time of the day.. so long as you have 5-6 hours of sleep before hand. The amount of time you take to transition is very unstable and could be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, it really depends on what kind of anchor your using, and how well it works for you.

There are basic things you have to "do" to have a WILD. I have to say that "do" feels like the wrong word for this.

You have to fall asleep. This means letting go of everything, meaning you can't think of lots of stuff or you won't fall asleep. The exception being as follows...

You must maintain awareness. Do this by choosing something that keeps you aware while you fall asleep. Note that it shouldn't keep you awake.

You want to hit REM. You'll have a better chance of doing this if you already have slept. More presleep gives you longer periods of REM-sleep. Find your cycles.

That sums up the basics, meaning how to do it is up to you to find out.

Good Luck and Happy Dreaming, Tucane

I'm not sure if this will help you, but this is my routine and it works everytime for me. I set my alarm for 4:30-5 am. I get up and take a Galatamine pill. I go back to bed and read about lucid dreaming for about a half hour and then go to sleep telling myself I will have a lucid dream. Sometimes I have a hard time falling back to sleep, but when I do I will be lucid everytime. I have tried it without the pill, and I didn't become lucid. So I'm not sure if it was a placebo effect or whether the pill has an effect. Good luck.
