      Failed Wild

So, it was about, what? 3pm in the afternoon, I had decided to take a nap and try to WILD for the first time. I entered bed and I closed my eyes and counted my breaths, I pictured the numbers in my head instead of just thinking of them. I felt a weird tingly sensation in my body and I couldn't feel it. Next thing I know I woke up and I'm remembering little fragments from my dream. A bit disappointed that I didn't remember any lucidity if there was any or that I just didn't become lucid I tried again. The same thing happened.

Is it that i'm falling asleep at the last minute or is it something else I'm doing wrong?

Actually, it's important to fall asleep when doing a WILD, odd as it sounds.

Really, all you're doing is watching your body fall asleep, not forcing you mind to stay awake. You may be straining too hard to keep your body awake, and drift off into normal sleep. You may also have entered a dream, and simply can't recall it. Either way, just keep trying.

The hard part is to time your falling asleep to the exact time, when your dream starts. That is more of an art than science and needs some practice to get it down. Even then it won't be easy, only easier.

So it seems that in this case you described you fell asleep too soon. Keep practicing and you will get it. WILD (sageous)

And btw, even failures count. Ever attempt is a valuable lesson, and since no two attempts are identical, you never know what will happen. Good luck.
