      Angry WILD Help.FAST.

So here is the thing.I have experienced lucid dreams many times, but the catch is
they were DILD witch means they are not very vivid or long.
So i started practicing WILD(I have a history of failed wild-s).
So yesterday,i went to sleep at 11pm, and woke at 3:40am,and i remembered
a scene from my dream, and when i woke,i didnt have any problems getting up.
and i went to bathroom, drank a glass of water and started my wild. And then my
problem was 1.I wasnt very tired,so it was struggle to fall asleep.2.every 15-20
seconds i had fast twitch of my arm head or leg.3.My body automaticlly swallowed
every 10 seconds. After that i quited and went to sleep.

I never had wild so pls guys understand me.

What can I say, those are fairly common problems that happen to many WILDers. If you struggle to fall asleep, perhaps you shouldn't wake up too much, don't move around too much and don't wake up your mind too much, those things make it harder to fall back asleep. For the twitch, were you in a comfortable position? Your body needs to be relaxed and comfortable. As for the swallow, ignore it, or putting an extra pillow under your head could help.

After that i quited and went to sleep
You were supposed to be falling asleep in the first place. WILD is not some mysterious magic ritual, you WANT to fall asleep, you just want to do it consciously, that's your aim, to fall asleep physically while staying awake mentally.

Like mimihigurashi said, swallow if you want to. Be comfortable, not stiff like an ancient corpse.
The goal of WILD it to FALL ASLEEP while KEEPING AWARENESS. That means that you should have the intention to fall asleep, it's just the same as you do every night. The exception being, you have to find a way to keep your awareness while doing that.

      Hello, Mate122!

Both mimihigurashi and TDHXIII have brought up excellent points. Mastering your WBTB is something that varies for everyone. Your body will respond better or worse depending on what you do during your WBTB, as well as how long you are staying awake. As a general rule of thumb, keep all lights off, and going to the bathroom is probably the most movement you should do. Just play around with the time frame and see what kind of results you get

On another note, don't try so hard. Don't worry about not moving or swallowing, just lay down and relax, let your body do what it does every night. I am sure you have read some of the WILD guides here on DV. All of the steps and tips are there just as a guideline. If you focus too much on any one of those steps, you could be over-complicating the process and making it harder than it needs to be.

Lastly, WILD is one of the more difficult techniques to master, and so don't beat yourself up too much. Even a failed attempt is experience and practice

I have experience lucid dreaming, and I have had long vivid DILDs and WILDs, as well as short blurry DILDs and WILDs. To think otherwise is just going to hurt you.

Nothing wrong with moving, swallowing, itching etc during a WILD attempt.

I try to WILD about 40 times a week and have about 2 a week. I also have had thousands and thousands of tries at WILD (40/week at least for about 3 years) and I still only have them about 5% of the tries. It takes a lot of trial and error, but you can get it. Here is a really good couple threads for it.

Sorry but I've got to ask, how in god's name do you manage to have 40 WILD attempts per week?? Seems insane, what do you do? Doesn't it ruin your sleep?
