Will I end up somewhere bad!?

I'm starting to get a hang of WILD. But my hypnagogic imagery is showing me a creepy dream. It always does! For example, I was on a roller coaster with someone and then after they died. Then I noticed that we were in a dark and creepy forest. Right after they died I went into sleep paralysis. Will I wake up in my dream here? Or will I always wake up in my bed no matter what? I also found out that wriggling your toes helps you get out of sleep paralysis. I'm always too afraid to find out what happens. The last time I was in paralysis was a few minutes ago. When I was trying to get out I was hearing a creepy voice saying, "Next time you'll stay!" You're probably going to say this is happening because I'm scared. I'm not scared I'm letting loose. My subconscious just seems like it wants a scary dream for me! Please help! Thanks!

I'm assuming when you say "sleep paralysis", you actually are referring to REM atonia, a normal part of the sleep process where your brain disables your muscles to keep you from acting out your dreams. For more info on what sleep paralysis actually is, check out this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html

As for the scary HI, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Getting yourself too worked up over the scariness will pretty much kill your entire WILD attempt. Plus once you make the transition into the dream and become lucid, you can always teleport into a new dream, or just make the current dream much less scary by knowing that nothing can hurt you.

Another thing to know is that when you experience this "paralysis", 9 times out of 10 that means you're already asleep and in a dream. Try doing a motionless reality check (my favorite is to imagine your body rocking back and forth without moving your muscles. If you're dreaming, you'll usually rock and roll right off the bed).
"Going through life worrying about the little things is like cooking with motor oil instead of cooking oil. Sure, you can still probably pull it off, but it'll leave a bad taste in your mouth in retrospect." - Me, apparently

I feel like I'm in sleep paralysis because I feel like I can't move any parts of my body. And when I do move my toes, it feels like my body is almost pushing back making it hard for me to move it.

I don't believe that I'm asleep when I'm in paralysis. This is because I feel more awake like once my body becomes paralyzed. I also see creepy faces once I become paralyzed.

SP is only when you can't move, not when it's hard to move. It's a common misconception, so no worries.

As for the creepy dreams - go to bed with happy thoughts. Imagine your dream and what will happen in it while being excited and happy about it. Dreams can change based on what we expect to happen. So if you are thinking that something bad may happen, it will. But same way as it's easy to make the dream "bad", it's same easy to make it nice and pleasant again. Simply think "look at that cute bunny (or anything else you like) and watch the scary/bad thing morph into it in front of your eyes.

Okay, so I guess you don't understand what I mean. My entire body is frozen except for my toes. You're probably saying that you can't wriggle your toes. Check out this link. How to Stop Sleep Paralysis - and Transform it into a Lucid Dream I do go to bed happy. I usually do this in the morning because my body is naturally sleepy and I feel more comfortable with it.

      I do understand.

I see 2 issues here and they are not related.

      1. You wake up and your body fails to stop REM attonia. Yes true, trying to wiggle tips or fingers or toes and changing your breathing can tell your body that you are awake and it stops the paralysis.

And yes, you can see scary images during true SP, especially if you don't know what is going on, want to move and cant and it's scary not to be in control of your body.

SP is a disorder, because normally REM attonia starts and stops when dream and REM starts/stops. That you are having it is not related to lucid dreaming.

If you are paralyzed, you can either end it without paying attention to scary HH since you know they are not real.
Or you can try and enter a LD by standing up/rolling out with your dream body.

So that answers the SP which I see you pretty much already taking care of on your own.

Do you mind repeating your LDing question?

I find too if I'm nervous about having a scary dream. My mind seems to oblige me. I just make sure make sure to not watch anything that would influence my state of mind before sleep.
