      Question What Is It Like?

Hi! Ive been trying to do WILDs for a while now and I was wondering if I was close to becoming lucid? My whole body will get super numb and tingly and sometimes I see bright lights... Also how do I get into a lucid dream after my body becomes paralyzed... Do I have to be asleep to WILD or are you fully conscious while you do it? And a couple of days ago while I was attempting to do WILD my body started twitching uncontrollably... Why do you think that happened?

Anything you might be experiencing might be either falling asleep or entering a dream, which aren't the same thing. It varies a lot what it is like. One time while WILDing I experienced no imagery, sounds, or bodily sensations, only a sense that I teleported somewhere else.

If you think you're close to a dream, try to make something happen using only your intention to make it happen. For example, try to make the bed spin, try to see your room through your closed eyelids, or try to make a noise appear using only your imagination of it happening.

You have to fall asleep to WILD but while you must be conscious of the transition to dreaming itself, but you don't have to be conscious of everything leading up to the transition.

It sounds like your close! I also get the tingly feeling all over my body! This is how I recognise I'm entering a lucid dream. My lucid dreams begin the same way every time, I get the tingly feeling then have a false awakening. So in my dream I wake up in my bed. It feels so real that I have to do a couple if reality to checks to make sure I'm actually dreaming before I go off and do something silly like jump out of a window! After I get the tingly sensation i just go with it and stay completely still and relaxed. It freaked me out before I knew what it was! The first few times it happened my body felt very heavy and it was difficult to move but once I realised what was happening i just expected my body to move like normal and it did! Good luck! X
