    MILD - Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream

    A lucid dream induction technique in which the dreamer focuses on the intention to remember to RC and relies on their internal, prospective memory to complete this task. This method involves an oneironaut, as they are falling asleep, visualizing a recent non-lucid dream and imagining that they are performing a reality check and becoming lucid, then asserting that they will remember to reality check in their next dream. This is believed to activate one's prospective memory, which will remain activated until a dream has commenced and the reality check has been carried out. It is important that one have sufficient prospective memory for this technique to be used to its full advantage.
