      Phantom's Music, Artwork and More!

I love all kinds of art- music, photography, drawing, digital art, video productions, etc.

Thus, I decided to create a thread to share any of my creations. I don't get a chance to make a ton of new things all the time, but when I happen to produce some kind of art, I'll be sure to share it with everyone

      I hope you enjoy it!

Here is an electronic song I composed. I haven't actually given it a name that sticks yet, but "Within The Lite" seems pretty damn relevant at the moment. As far as titles go (and like anything else that involves creativity), I tend to stick with something that just FEELS right. I'm not too sure, but for now the title isn't what's important.

The HD version will provide the highest quality Youtube has.

The theme that kind of inspired this one is sort of an exploring new worlds concept. Lucid Dreaming immediately related as I was writing the song.

As far as my background with audio goes, I've worked with DAWs and audio processing before. For 4 years actually. Then I detached myself completely from it. I wanted a positive change in my life, so everything had to go and I ended up selling all my equipment and software. I miss working with it, but I'm actually a lot happier now. Working on this song was a nice nostalgic way of spending a small part of my summer.

Producing music, however, is completely new to me and something I'm willing to continue learning. I'm already saving up for some hardware in addition to even more software. In addition, I have not had this track mastered. I have no knowledge in the area nor am I currently interested in hiring an engineer. This was just for fun. Mastering seems like it should be something so simple, yet because it involves a single audio track, it's not. You move one EQ band and you affect the whole song! I just decided to leave it alone after the final mixdown and not mess with it at all. In addition to my current lack of knowledge involving mastering, I just can't afford all of the proper tools for it. These kinds of hobbies can get expensive!

But for now, this was just a fun way to spend some of my extra time.

Went for another electronic song. This time I titled it "Sweet Escape." Maybe the music will give you an idea why. The title just came to me for this one as opposed to my first song (which I ended up calling "Beyond The Lite").

After my first attempt at producing electronic music, I decided to go for it again. This time, I didn't want each section sounding EXACTLY the same. Therefore, this song took much longer to finish. A little bit each day, and boom. The result is this.

I want to get into playing actual instruments again. I'll have access to them in August when I move back to college. While that will mean less time on the computer and more time in college life, every semester my organizational skills grow. So I believe I can manage a bit of creativity here and there when it comes to other forms of art, including instrument playing, drawing, photography, etc.

      Thanks!

After the first song, I felt I learned a lot and so I took more chances on the second one. Whenever I create something now, there's no more holding back with ideas
