Beautiful work. I find it particularly interesting that all of your drawings seem to be unfinished. Any particular reason all your beings are horned?

Already told you this, but you've got great work. I've seen similar work in an Anatomy and Dynamics (or Dynamic Light and Shade, I think?) book that I used to have. Have you ever used one of those, in the past? The technique looks really familiar.

Good stuff, though. Would love to see more.

To my minds eye, some of them could be demons, and some could be angels. Or maybe they are both. Maybe war has a way of mixing that stuff up.

I like them. is the unfinished look something you are going for, or are they just unfinished? Either way I once heard a quote: A work of art is never finished, only abandoned.

It may be my imagination, but some of the faces look like your own. Was that intentional? I mean, you're attractive and they're hideous on a superficial level, but there are qualities, particularly in the mouths and noses.

Hmmm tormented self-portraits maybe?

This is potent mythological stuff - in line with dying niobids and beheaded St John the Baptists. What I like best about them - most of my art looks like anatomy exercises, but yours really make a statement.

thanks c: i don't know what niobids are, and i never really think of St. John the Baptist (what a crazy mofo!). they're just mountain gods.
