For fox sake! Why is it so difficult to think of a name? Anyway, very good drawings, Tara. Fame could be just around the corner.

Mozilla Firefox, the internet explorer.
Banana slugs are cool. We have a few types out here.
Hmm, I vote Cornelius. It sounds the most like an explorers name lol.
I think Darwin would be a cool name. Darwin Foxly, or something like that.
There's an obvious link between the name Darwin and animals, so it fits well. And I guess you could say that Darwin was an explorer of the animal kingdom.
Cornelius is nice.
There should be another character in there, like a badger or something, who always calls the fox "Captain" because he has shell shock and is deluded into thinking that the fox fought in the war with him.
It's all about establishing the proper profiles.
I've barely done anything and you're all coming up with a character just because of possible names! I love you guys.
I was indeed thinking of other characters. I had a crow in mind, one that was in a dream, actually. Might do something else instead, we'll see.
Everyone is loving Cornelius but I'm still partial to Wicks because the friend who suggested it was also the inspiration for this fox. It's short and quick and sly yet quirky. Maybe his full name will be Cornelius Wicks and his crow/badger/other friend will use "Cornelius" when he wants to be a bother.
That's cute.
His mom can yell "Cornelius!" when he's in trouble. :P
HE WON'T HAVE PARENTS WHERE HE'S GOING
/cue depressing music
So far, any story revolving around him is just about generic adventures in the woods. Something fun and simple for me to doodle. No family (and no friends unless I stick that second character in there), and I'm leaning towards mostly no dialogue. Like the fishing picture, but hopefully I'll get around to making more panels and having comic strips instead of one big drawing.
That's a shame. I was thinking that the story could revolve around his attempt to come to terms with his negligent mom, absent father and always more popular than him older brother while working as a hotel maintenance engineer in Boston. I was picturing at least four or five trade paper-backs worth of serious graphic novel material with social commentary on the state of the proletariat in light of the fact that the ruling elite really don't have that much of a choice about how to best conduct foreign policy with the people only being willing to support war when they believe that it will make them feel better.
I guess a fox could hang out in the woods though. Seems weird but you could probably make it work.
I know it's totally weird EVERYONE IS GOING TO HATE IT UGH sob
Like what kind of fox hangs out in the woods? COME ON, TARA.
