Snow Moon


The curtain of night has fallen
upon this lonely stretch of road.
The cold wind picks up -- and screams out its pain.
Where am I to go?

The snow has fallen
and glitters sweetly now.


Oh, lonely snow moon,
can you lead me home?
Lead me across the desolateness
to what my heart holds dear.

Oh, lonely cold moon,
why do you shimmer so?
Like a diamond
far beneath the sea.


The trees whisper in the dark:
"Who is that lonely soul?"
As they chuckle amongst themselves,
they remain rooted so.

Am I alone? What is alone?
What caused me to be so?
Who can search inside
and answer this for me?


Oh, uncertain snow moon,
are you lost too?
Among the stars,
you've lost your way.

Oh, uncertain unhappy moon,
what do you search for?
Is it the heart you threw away,
the one no-one would want?


This road stretches on and on.
Where is the hand that guides me?
I stretch mine out to hold yours
and all I receive is cold air.

Are you out amongst the snow?
Your footprints have blown away.


Oh, tearful snow moon,
why do you cry so?
Out amongst the cold stars,
no one else is there.

Oh, tearful heartbroken moon,
unhide those tears please.
Let them fall
as nobody cares.

amidst this snow.


As we walk down this road
frozen,

"Hello? Can someone please talk to me?"
I cry into the black phone.
What's wrong?
What is this noise I hear?
It's the sound,
it's the buzz
of harsh, harsh static.

I can't get through,
I can't talk to you.
Please help me,
please listen to me.
But you cannot;
my voice is lost amongst noise.

The room here is lonely.
Blank walls,
stark walls,
devoid of company.
The silence here it
saddens me.
"Hello?"
I call once more into the device.

Can't you hear me?
Please help me.
Please respond so I know
that someone is there.
Is anybody there? No?
No.
My voice is lost amongst noise.

All this time,
spent here.
My voice is my only company.
It's always been only me.
Out the window,
the clouds pass by.
People wander below.
I call out to them.
Please, talk to me.

I can't get through.
I can't talk to you.
Please listen to me,
But they cannot.
My voice has become noise.

Where are you?
The words resound around me.
I need you.
I want you.
No one's there to hear me.


You drove off,
dust rose high.
And the kisser is,
you never even told me why.


I stand here
alone;
and wonder where we went wrong.
You lied,
I cried.
I stand here alone and stare
at the sky,
and cry
because you're gone.


The rain,
fell down.
And drowned me from the inside.
I could not
go on,
due to what you done.


You left me,
you abandoned me,
you never once tried to contact me.

I cried,
I died
on the inside.

Where did we go wrong?
Is there something I could've done?
But it doesn't matter now,
'cos you're gone.

She merely ignored him and walked on.


The next day, the man talked to the woman again.
As before, she walked away.


The next day, the man again talked to the woman.
She turned to him and asked:
"Why is it you talk to me?"


The man merely responded:
"Because you looked lonely and unhappy".


The day after, the man talked to the woman.
They chatted for hours.

Looking for a place that felt like home.


For many hours, the cat would meow and paw at doors.
However, the inside never felt right.


Many nights, and hours they had wasted.
They had left their home long ago.

For some people, they cannot believe the world is real;
so they cannot open their eyes.


For few people, they know the world is real;
yet no one believes what they see.

Sweet Magic


To make everything that's unhappy,
light and tasty as candy.
That's the brilliance of my sweet magic.


Every bitter memory,
become delicious like honey;
Every sour dream,
I lighten with white cream.
Hopes become so delectable,
they're simply lickable.
To bake happiness - that's my trick.
I entice with my sweet, sweet magic.


Go ahead, take a bite.
I don't mind - in fact, it's all right.
This candy world, I made for you.
Hard to imagine, I know;
but it's all simply true.
So go ahead, and try
have your fill
and you'll no longer cry.


Every tart moment,
will no longer ferment.
With my magic -
they're no longer there, watch them go!
In their stead,
comes chocolate bread -
you can't believe it but yes it is so!
So. Go ahead, go and have your fill,
I bet you can't say no - no!


Have I enticed you yet?
You don't want any of it, yet
you go ahead an taste it all - yeah!


Do you like my sweet trap?
It's sweet and sticky like sap.
I'm never going to let you go - no!

Yes, I am stubborn, yeah.
Yes, I am selfish, yeah.
Yet, I know you want me - yeah!

So, go ahead and take your time.
I know it wont be long until your mine.
There's no problem, I can placate.
So,
Will bitterness arise?
What if all the magic dies?
I guess we're just going to have to work hard
from now on.

Yes, even sour moments come,
when all the happiness has begun.
But it doesn't matter?
Why? Because we love each other, so
I'm gonna try to not lose you - no.
I know - I've got just the trick,
it's the taste of my sweet magic.

The Sands of Time


All my life I have waited for this moment,
and now slowly, the bottom of the hourglass is almost full.
Where is it? Where is the door to my better life?
Amidst the shadows, only the faint hiss
of draining sand echoes amidst the vast and barren remains of my life.

I dreamt of a future where I could be happy.
Not happy about riches. Not happy about power.
Happy about finally receiving my greatest wish -
a family of my own – kids and my one true love.
Where are you?
I let my gaze move ahead into time
but my eyes are only stung by sand.

Who knew that to wait could be such torture?
As the bottom of the hourglass fills,
so too does my mind fill with doubts.
I doubt the future I long ago foresaw, can possibly come to pass.
I doubt I shall ever see the faces of my children-to-be
Or the handsome face of my beloved.
I fear, that this was only a great lie created by an unhappy mind that longed
for comfort and happiness.
A lovely wish to be sure; but a selfish one as well.

Alas, my time is almost up.
The door has yet to appear and open,
open up and unveil the path to my dream.
As the sands of time slowly spill,
so too do my tears and are lost to the past.
A past I fear that shall swallow me whole and bury my unhappy
and lonely life beneath eternal golden sand.
