So I've done another piece, and it's a girl from the new GTA game that's coming out at some point. |

So I decided to make this so I can get suggestions for new projects (If anyone has any, can you post them? thanks ). The only bad thing is I have to do a lot of artwork for school so I don't get much time to do this. Most of the stuff I do is in pencil, but I'm buying a load of pens so I can do more color work. I only have 1 done at the minute, but it takes so long XD |

I just got a graphics tablet so hopefully I can start using it to make digital artwork but at the minute I am just practicing with it. I might have something decent to show soon though . |

Well done, keep em coming |

I use tissue to blend but yeah I know shading darkness is definitely something I need to work on. I've just started a picture on the tablet, and I think it's going well so far considering it's my first. Something Im finding a bit difficult is getting the right colours, because I'm more used to pencil than painting. |

Okay so this is the start of my new piece. It's resident evil 5 and this is just the sketch. There are few things annoying me though because I cant seem to get the gun right. I'll fix it when I get around to painting that part anyway |

Does artrage have any dodge or burn tools? |
|
Well if you select a tool, you can set the blend mode. There's colour and linear dodge, and colour and linear burn, however I just keep it on normal, because I'm not sure how all of them work. There's a huge list of all the different blending stuff. |

You should learn how to properly use the dodge and burn options. If you have a look at any of the speed painters on youtube you can see that they quite heavily rely on it, in fact some paint the whole picture in shades of gray, use the dodge and burn tool to shade it and then colour with coloured brushes afterwards. |

Yeah I do want to learn how to use the tools more so I can be more pro. But it's quite hard to find places/websites where they actually teach you how to use the tools rather than how to paint a fish or some crap like that. |
