[This was a parable I wrote for my family; but after writing it, I realized it was much deeper than that...hope you enjoy!]

Monkey tells the moon, "Did you know the sun shines upon me? I have told everyone!"
The moon says, "Well monkey, that is quite nice."

Raven tells the moon, "I fly high above monkey! The sun shines upon ME, and I have told everyone."
The moon says, "Well raven, that is quite nice."

Eagle tells the moon, "I fly high above raven and my shadow is cast long upon monkey. The sun shines upon ME, and I have told everyone."
The moon says, "Well eagle, that is quite nice."

Monkey says, "But moon, how can the sun shine upon raven and eagle, when it shines upon ME? I am the bearer of the truth, the holder of the secrets of the sun. Everyone knows!"

Moon looks lovingly upon the children of the sun. With a love more abundant than can be contained, he spoke these words, "Monkey, raven, and eagle, the sun shines upon me, also."

Monkey, raven and eagle look at each other in surprise. How can this be?

Moon continues, "Each of us carries a piece of the sun; a piece of the truth. There is only one sun. She cannot give us ALL of her light or we will burn. So, she shares a piece with each of us."

"The truth is with you monkey."
"The truth is with you raven."
"The truth is with you eagle."
"And the truth is with me..."

We are all bearers of the light, sharing secrets of the sun.
