Thread: what do you think of this pic?

I like all the colors in the 'scape.

Seems a little bland, though. Also a little hard to tell what is what. Maybe clarify things a little better next image?

Yeah this one was a bit of a short handed work, the top-left of the pic is what made it bland really, next pic im going to remodel the scape a little to smoothen out the sharp edges then add my character on to it

What's with the low polygon count in the "hill" thing considering you were able to handle the smoothing the torus. What programs do you use?

To be honest I find your other pics ugly, but this looks really beautiful. Great work. The composition and colours are awesome. I wouldn't change the polygonal look of the hill... you're not aiming for realism. This works as an abstract, aesthetic piece.

Trust me, I'm not aiming for realism with this one. Why it came out with those spots/sharp edges was because
- Forgot to apply the Subsurf modifier
- Was in the middle of classes and it was generally a quick design.

EDIT: How it was originally supposed to look was that the sky was to have a gradient wave effect, the lake was to be purple-black and the hill side was supposed to be a blur green (but in this case it came out TOO blurry)
