A New Film About Lucid Dreaming

I've made a 40-minute film inspired by my experiences with Lucid Dreaming.

It's about a woman who practices Lucid Dreaming to deal with the death of her mother and finds that her dream life begins to invade her waking world. I'm very proud of this film and would love to know what you think about it, especially people who've had experience with Lucid Dreaming.

You can watch it for free here:

Elite, thanks for making it available to us! I clicked through the scenes - very dreamy, definitely feels like the dreamworld. I will give it a watch at home one night this week. What is your favorite scene?

I can't say I have a favorite scene, since the whole thing builds as a whole, but I do think the 3 scenes with the character we called the Insect Queen are very powerful.

Not if you have read any of Whitley Strieber's books!

Have you read any of Castaneda's work? Based on the name and some of the themes, I would wager a bet that Carlos was one of your influences? We had some very interesting discussions about sorcery here about two years ago...

      I've read a couple of Castaneda's work.

More important influences on me have been Carl Jung, William Blake, the Japanese dance form Butoh, and Jack Kirby.

Elite. I just got to watch it. It was powerful. I believed and traced a circle in my palm.

My father was shot earlier this year so the central theme struck home. I left my motion detector and EEG idling on the bedside table for the days that followed, wanting to believe.

I was impressed by how deep The Art of Dreaming went in every direction. From the basics of dream control, all the way to the Jungian archetypes and the I or ego death. I gained a deeper insight into consciousness, which can be applied equally to lucid living: instead of getting bored with too much control, the secret is to keep becoming more aware and watching closer.

You have bestowed great wealth upon the lucid dreaming community. Thank you. I can only dream that it becomes a cult classic in these parts and inspires a sequel.

IAMCoder, I'm so sorry to hear about your father.

But thank you so much for the kind words about my film. It's very gratifying to see that you get it and that it had such a deep impact for you.

BobDeNatale, I reiterate IAmCoder's comments. The film was deep and powerful, it hit so many chords and struck them all beautifully, harmoniously. It was inspirational and educational, and seemed to capture many aspects and questions around consciousness and lucid dreaming. I've shared it with several friends who loved it. The script and acting was great and the actress was beautiful. The film was so well done, thank you for making it available to the world!
