Very true; the present is just a single moment that dies as soon as it comes. However, there is no past? No objective one perhaps, but as long as someone is alive, I feel they have their own subjective past, one no amount of philosophy can damage. |

With each passing moment, we forget to remember what was now, and experience what is about to be then. Our memories feign authenticity, and even our expectation wear an amorphous mask of accuracy. And now the mask subsides to reveal the fleeting truth, and then it's gone. Or was it ever there in the first? How long have we been here? Are we here yet? All we have are our memories. How easily we forget ourselves. |
