Certainly an interesting one and a good starting point. I've thought before that "Dreams" for PS5 could be interesting for a similar purpose but unfortunately requires such specific hardware that I'll probably not get to try it myself for years, assuming it would still be possible by then.
I don't know that any tool or utility could be the "best" tool though, that kind of depends on complexity of dream elements, what we expect of the recreated scene, etc.
I'm a simple man, an ai that can create realistic pictures out of a text prompt? Hell yeah, that's the dopest thing I've heard of in years...And can have many iterations of the same thing? You can easely get a result that is the nearest to what youve seen in a dream...
When you do get it, feel free to post your dream artwork! ;)
It would be a useful tool, certainly and I can think of several uses for it myself outside of recreating dream scenes, though I didn't like some stuff on the terms of use. And I think personally I might expect too much out of it and not be content with the results in that way. I suppose that could be true of anything I might make myself anyway.
In any case, yeah, if you did get access to it, it would be cool to see what comes out of your prompts with it. :)
Excuse me?
What's in the TOS that you dislike?
I heard quite a few more people having problems with it but I havent sifted myself through the TOS yet. I'd like to know
I mean... I don't plan to do anything political with it, so I should be the clear, if I get it anytime soon...
These are comments moved from another thread to keep it on topic.
Carry on!

I'm not sure why you mention a political theme? If I said something to imply anything of that sort, it wasn't my intention if I did.
The main thing I dislike in the TOS is that OpenAI owns the intellectual rights to any resulting image that was generated by a user, even if a user had used some of their own pictures as uploads to use as a base.
As an artist I hate stuff like this because it doesn't even try to compromise with a mid-ground that both sides could be happy with. To me it's like being given a paint brush and being told "anything you make with this brush is not your intellectual property and we can take it away from you at any time".
They do have a policy that lets you share the generated images online but it feels a bit authoritative to me, even though I know it's supposed to just be legal ass-covering. Saying that you should refrain from sharing outputs that might offend others? The very purpose of art many times is to stir emotion and to some extent "offend", and being offended is such a vague notion, as people have very different sensibilities in that regard and a person can be realistically offended by just about anything.
I can understand why they have a no commercial-use clause, I think that can make some sense, it's the full ownership of the generated image which will bother me at the end of the day, despite the fact that your text prompt for the generated image can be your original idea. According to the TOS you also give them rights to re-use any of your submitted "user content" in the present and in the indefinite future in any way they see fit as long as it can be related to some OpenAI purpose.
At any rate, copyright laws and legal provisions like this are a small mess and do little to favour individuals over bigger companies, which is why I'm not surprised about this.
For most people this is likely not an issue at all, and I doubt this would become an issue for someone who does just want to use a tool like this for their own dreams.
when did this become a thread of its own?
I got confused for a second here
I thought I made a thread unconsciously, or by mistake
Ah yeah, I see what you mean, the owner right part is straight up outrageous indeed...also the offending\provocative content part
but idk...maybe this authorative conduct about ownership has a good side...like it gatekeeps the great change ai art could have to the art industry....I mean it most probably will happen anyways, this at least somewhat delays it
I think at some point yesterday or early today. When I noticed it myself, I had actually been getting ready to reply to you via PM since it was getting somewhat off-topic for the other thread. :P
Yeah, it will probably mean changes of some kind and will likely happen at some point. I sometimes do paid work doing art for others and I don't feel AI would take my job or anything like that. I can't predict the future but I can't say I fear a future with it. I'd use it as a tool myself and even for my own self-expression, especially if it did mean my work was no longer required, as I still quite like making things for myself too.
I don't think that the impact of AI will be that different from certain situations that already exist though; for instance, handmade mass-reproduction of original works already happens and the works tend to be of good quality. Whether that's a good thing or not is probably a debate in itself and like with everything, there are probably too many people for the amount of jobs that realistically need to be filled (with current social structures/demands, at any rate).
Nefets, you might be interested in this: https://creator.nightcafe.studio/create
A friend linked it to me and it doesn't actually require an account to try out, though there is a limited number of free uses it seems (might be a daily or periodic refresh though). In any case, in my view the terms are also far more permissive than Dalle2, so I'll personally keep an eye on this one myself.
Hey, Nefets!! I know Daniel Love covered it on his channel here: https://www.dreamviews.com/entertain...ml#post2247558
Good news and a bad one
I got access to dalle 2
bad news: I used up all my points, so I won't be able to create any dream related scenes until next month
I'll get 15 points which means, 15x4 creations
at the beginning you get 52 points, and you can buy some one hundred for fifteen bucks or so
it's pretty good, its a bit harder to control and get the picture you wanted though, but when you do its a celebration
here are some pictures
