Thread: Draw Your Dreams

I watched 4 tutorials on drawing/painting realistic faces. So I tried giving it a go. ^w^ I think it came out okay. Its a picture of my dream guide/ favorite dream character Eye.

I will humbly submit some attempts. This is the most recent one: Cameras here embedded in the cieling of my parent's bedroom. microphones as well. And the "monolith" from stanley kubrick film "2001, space oddessey, was blocking the door. Felt afraid. Very "1984" esque.good cameras in parents room dream.jpg

*There is one I am happy with that I really want to post, but am not sure of rules for very suggestive drawings....*

This was one where I was simply on a mountain road late at night. Sense of fear. Car approaching from downhill to me further up. trying to desperately get into my car.

And this was one where I was looking out over a vast bamboo structure/city, suspended over a turquoise ocean. It extended to the distance. There were small huts built onto the bamboo catwalks. was a little more to it, but it was a nice scene.bamboo city.jpg

This is from a dream I had over 5 years ago. I wasn't present as a person. There were 3 tornadoes, and then all of a sudden I was seeing a helicopter that wound up going down for no particular reason, with a mayday message going off from somebody that wasn't in the helicopter. Then I saw the helicopter crashed in what was kind of like a rice field.

That's cool! I have tornado dreams a lot and there's always multiple ones going crazy.

It's nice that you're posting here again! Drawings of dreams, even these simple, have something special in itself.

I made some crappy photomanipulation to illustrate one of my scene from today's LD so I don't know if it counts ;p Anyway I'll post it. It's the view from my window:

I don't feel skilled enough to draw it properly or do photomanipulation (maybe some day) so just a shitty draft. "Xs" are place where I've been. It's the city with flying ships (it was huge) which is attached to a small island with some girl by a weak thread. Sky was misty/full of clouds. The red thing is a "towel" which covered the whole city and people didn't see the sky.

When you do improve upon it. (Or just make a new one, trust me, I know how it goes when you're an artist.) do please post it. I missed your art while I was gone.

Wanted to paint something symbolic and dream related. Than this happened. XD I didn't draw kiro because he hardly pops up in my dreams anymore so I did a bird on top of the girl who looks like Manei's head.Because sometimes in my dreams she pops up and does the helpful things he use to do in my dreams. Also, I said girl that looks like Manei because i'm not even sure if she is supposed to be Manei. The last time I saw her was in a non lucid dream where she helped me find my way to safety. Oh and the girl in the middle is my dream self and the rest of the characters are dream guides. Dawn is the one with the white hair. Eye is the one with the dark bluish hair, the blond one doesn't have a name but is helpful. Although I think he only came about cause I was thinking of Marcus.(Jade's dream character) But i'm not sure. He looks nothing like Marcus. >w>

Who knows. The only person who likes her more than me is probably you, so maybe you subconsciously made a copy of her for yourself.

(I really need to just make a dream character who is insane and all he does is scream 'you're dreaming' over and over!)

Although I think he only came about cause I was thinking of Marcus.(Jade's dream character) But i'm not sure. He looks nothing like Marcus.

This was from a few days ago, the little tree sprouted in seconds when patrick from spongebob flew through the air after becoming a normal starfish and then turning into a seed at the base of that tree.

XD Reminds me of the time I told you I was gonna take Manei from you. Haha A dc that screams your dreaming? Yes I did, and he had black spiky hair and glasses. I don't know if I ever uploaded that though.

Lolol XD I bet it wasn't that bad. But I feel the same when I look at really old art. Although I find it cute too at times.

First off just have to say I love this thread!

So a few years ago I accidentally bought about 1,500 small notepads at a garage sale and had no idea what to do with them. So I started doodling dream images and it turned into quite the project! Sorry for the low quality, took these pics with my phone

These are two dimensional creatures. Their shapes are geometrically perfect and interlaced between intersecting planes. They were quite terrifying in the dream.

Government was preparing another planet for colonization. This space ship 'ark' was one of hundreds sent up and carried all sorts of animals and specialists. My friend and I were hired as specialists but were also part of an underground resistance and needed a distraction so we could upload spyware onto the shipboard computer. We under-tranquilized a herd of bulls so they woke up half way through the voyage then sent them stampeding into the heart of the ship. Great dream

Climbed a giant beanstalk and met Clayface, the goblin, (from the 10th Kingdom) He was eating beanstalk soup, lounging on a beanstalk leaf and watching the sunset

Found this hard rock band playing in a lucid, I wanted to have a DC say the phrase "I think, therefore I am" to me. I got the British lead guitarist to talk to me and instead of saying the line he had me touch his palm and said (paraphrasing)"You know I exist. You see, in some way I affect you...you react to me, that means I exist....even if it's only just for right now." Then left me with my mind blown to go start the concert.

I was trying to WILD back into dreaming after a short WBTB. As the dream formed I realized I was laying on my back on super soft moss on the floor of this gorgeous forest with golden light coming down through the leaves. Then this adorable little creature fluttered down to check me out, it was about a foot tall and had a hard wing shell like a lady bug

Nightmare time!

Jungle dwelling savages, they use the carcasses of giant birds and red cloth to make intimidating war clothes. Their eyes are also pure white, they may have been blind

Small horror moment was looking at my eye in a mirror when I felt a sudden pop and my pupil and iris melted out of my eye, it was the consistency of ink

These are from the same nightmare, these evil masks turn the wearer into a portal to hell.
this mask was a beautiful burnt orange color and had sequins, when you put it on the eyes close, and your face erupts into flames.

This mask is a pale skin color and is supposed to imitate the image of a human body with arms legs and head. When worn, the teeth along the edge of the mask clamp down essentially eating your face off

Once wearing a mask you appear in one of the hands of the Gatekeeper, holding you up by your head, It used to have wings but over centuries they decayed. Once in hell the damned can tear through your body and enter the living world

Am I highjacking the thread? I'm highjacking the thread...last batch!

This nifty device records sound and outputs ticker tape text. Creepily half of the components seemed to be made of some kind of flesh and sinewy material. The sonographs on the top capture sound, and the vertical pillars of fleshy muscle twitch sensitively to the vibrations, causing the little arms to pitter patter against it. The thin diaphragm of flesh reacts the the refined vibrations of the arms and the twitches of the sinews act like fingers on a typewriter, depressing switches which print ink on paper.

This thing jumped out of the darkness at me during HH and scared the bejeebus out of me. The symbol on it's forehead was incredibly vivid.

This thing....ugh. A giant spider with a false smiling face. It liked to keep people confined and starving till we were too weak to move, then would pull people up on an ornate stage and put on performances, using bodies like puppets.

Turns out Obama is an alien with the first name Susan. Susan Obama had to relinquish presidency and return home when her device broke which helped her maintain human form and she degraded back to her natural blobby form. She said that she took on the persona of Obama and earned presidency on her own. She will most miss the lighthouse she was gifted when she earned office.

The Godfish! This mythical creature has the capability of consuming the entire world, (perhaps the whole universe) through it's mouth, black hole style, and then expelling everything back out in completely new configurations of matter and energy.

Had a pretty cool dream the other night where me and my family had to go into some old store to buy some magic dice to use it in a game so we could summon a demon and kill it we played the game and rolled this dye onto a black plate and when it rolled the side facing up was blank and we all were terrified haha

Here's a layout of what the old store was like, was sorta like an old grandma's house with a lot of random stuff but it was all kinda magic stuff and old spell books
