      King Tut mural

      I did this around three months ago for an elementary school around here. Finally got off my butt and decided to post some of my artwork, so here ya' go:



      9' by 4' if I remember right.

      Anyway, I can only do large-scale paintings (all of the smaller stuff I do doesn't look so good 'cuz I'm horrible at details), but I love painting anyway. Currently I'm working on a 10' by 5' (Er...something like that. It's slightly bigger than the Tut one) mural of a girl playing volleyball. Started that one on Friday, it should be done by the end of May, maybe sooner if I really work on it.

      Also, after I finish that, I'm looking to do a mural of a bunch of old DV members. I'll be going around collecting pictures from some of you in a while and I'll paint it this summer before I go up to Logan for college this August.

      Very nice! I also love ancient Egypt - so much that I actually mummified a rabbit for my senior exit project in high school... maybe a mural would've been less creepy...haha

      LOL - My teacher actually called the newspaper about it and they videoed my whole presentation and put an article in the paper - yeah, so EVERYONE knew the crazy girl mummified a rabbit (thanks, teacher). I bet I can find the newspaper clipping and post it...

      Anyway, you're mural is quite impressive! Very well done!!

      Oh, nice work, man. Eyes look a little uneven, but it's very cool nevertheless. Could just be the angle of the picture, though.

      Yeah, the angle makes the eyes look all freaky. In reality they're alligned better and the shading in and under them is more gradual, but the picture looks really freaky for some reason.

      It was freakin' huge. I had to use a ladder to do the top of the headdress. Anyway, I don't get to keep it, the elementary's had it since the beginning of March. I'm pretty sure they've hung it up in a display somewhere, but I know they didn't throw it out. Either way, I don't have anywhere to keep it at
      The volleyball player I'm doing now is coming along great, I'll take pictures of it next time I'm in class, probably Monday, but maybe tomorrow if I feel like going to art instead of physics...
