Howetzer's Young Again inspired me to post one of the songs that I have written, one of my personal favorites. I wrote it about 2 years ago, just before leaving high school. It is dedicated to all my real friends and all the memories. It is a nostalgic song, about the feeling of loss with the pass of time and moving on:
It's human nature
for us to feel pain
when everything's going away
You just can't help it
You burst into tears
Time's bringing on
the greatest of fears
And you feel you fade...Out of time's reach into memories made
Chorus:
When did time leave? It took us by surprise
Every moment that goes by a part of us dies
We took it for granted and now it is gone
What lies in the past awaits in the beyond
Everything that you love
must come to an end
time is a rule
that no one can bend
And sooner or later
you must realize
nothing lasts forever
and time has it's price
And you feel you fade...Out of time's reach into memory lane
[Chorus]
Time can give life
and can take it away
It's funny how
It turns out that way
It will bring you good times
you hope will last long
but one day you wake up
and see that they're gone
And you feel you fade...Out of time's reach into memories made
[Chorus]
You take out your scrapbooks
To see times that were
You start looking back
and you wish you were there
But stop reminiscing
yet charish the past
Focus on the present cause that too won't last.....

It is one of my mildest songs, but it is also one of my favorites...
It means a lot to me and I wish I could sing it to you, but for that I have to get it on the net(and it would be great if I had some instument back up as well, instead of me just doing a solo...)
