aphius, ur talking about gmax right? its the same thing as 3d studio max except it cant render, but i think there are a few plugins out there that can make renders, but not of the quality of the default scanline renderer or the mental ray renderer that ships with 3d studio max 6 (which cost me around $500 )

and ashliebell, i would increase the tiling of the bump map on the light shade! (or whichever type of map it is )

No, I'm not talking about 3d studio MAX or anything, 3d GameStudio is different to that.

      3d GameStudio Website

I looked at some of the pictures I made that I had on a Cd and the CD is so scratched it doesn't work properly...

I tried to repair it but it still didn't work... I managed to get two but they weren't the best ones... Maybe I can get them from someone I sent them to... *hopeful*

Here are the two I managed to save:
      Pic1

      Pic2

They're really dodgy and low-poly so dont expect a masterpiece, but that doesn't stop them from being entertaining.

low poly is an art in itself, never ever tell somebody that something is bad because its low poly! i spent about 15 hours working on a low poly orc model a month ago, keeping the poly count down while keeping the quality up requires great artistic expression

I know. I have been trying to get a friend of mine to do his models with less polygons so that I can use them.

I suppose its also in how you skin it. A good skin can make Low poly models seem like they have twice as many faces.

Anyway, I got my good computer back which has a much better CD drive than the other one I was using so I got those other pics off the CD.

      Gun Dive

      Recliner

The first one was always my favourite.

Actually, if you use normal mapping when skinning it will look even better than that.

I wish I could post my latest projects. I've made 2 animations, and they're really cool! I really want to do this for the rest of my life, I love it.

Of the two pictures that are still surviving without 404 Errors on the page, I think your work is excellent!

I'm a hobbyist modeller for my favorite video game, Morrowind. I've been doing it for about a year and a half now, and have gotten past the basics without any proper training. http://www.freewebs.com/acidbasik5/ this is my modification website. Most of the things there are old and since I've updated I've done quite a few new creatures. I'm considering a career in it, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, it was nice to see what professionals can do.

I had to take a lot off of my webpage, unfortunately, so most of those links won't work
