Check these out--they are unbelievable, especially the 3-D ones.

Hmm. I'm just getting an error message, when I click on the link. The URL works, though, because I was able to copy/paste it into the address bar.
There's another thread or two on these things around here, somewhere, though. They are absolutely incredible.
I love the Batman and Robin one.

It's called "trompe dl'oeil," I learned about it in art history class last year. It means "to fool the eye..." Does anyone know how to pronounce that, by the way? I've tried to say it, and it just sounds stupid.

Have you seen the car commercial that's using the idea? It's very similar to the one where he's "standing on the ledge" with Batman and Robin coming up from below. In the commercial, it starts off just like that then they zoom down into the picture and show the car riding by. I can't remember what car it's for but it's a current ad.

I first stumbled across those pictures about a year ago - already have them saved to my computer. They are awesome, to say the least.

Yes I remember some of these being in the paper a few years back... it's incredible to be able to see these again. The artist who creates them has an unbelievable amount of talent.

Found it. 3d Truck Logos in Germany. I don't think those are actually by Julian Beever, and are just imitations of him, but they are still truly amazing to see.
