My Mirrored World
Glossy ground you shimmer so
Showing me the skies below
Reflecting back what birds must view
Casting eyes to gaze at you
When my eyes have soaked it in
Your sea returns to wash again
The sandy canvas from my dreams
Restoring many a painter's themes
The colours dance way up high
Or is it from beneath your skies?
From seagulls breast to whisps of hair
None forgotten within your glare
Catching an early morning beat
Of those who like the sun will greet
Your picture perfect portrait glow
Of life that swims within stones throw
Wrapping those at sunset's pause
To hear the day's end loud applause
For the majesty bestowed on all
Captured in the lens so small
The ceiling now below my feet
Tickling as your flow retreats
Clearing gracefully natures floor
Footprints return upon your shores
To mark their place against the glass
Forever walking, but no proof to last
For soon your tide begins anew
Another story for a mirrored two
