Thread: Tears of the Mind

Ok, I'm going to give a little story-poem, so here it is.

I feel your understandable fear.
You cry your eyes out, the pride you had is in each tear.
The days fly by, and your cries flow with the ages.
The dream you stand in is an enigma, a perpetual stream of pages
Turning endlessly without reason.

Hiding from the blunt reason you dream:
Everything not as they seem.
However you look at it, there's always a reason you cry.
The translucent feel of beauty as you die,
The sight of the field you stand in
Rushing into your heart with accidental fear.

I make my way toward your frozen river,
Gazing into the endless fog as I tremble and shiver
I hear your cries, but fear your lies,
The ones you told to block the sighs
Of my mistrust in you.
Can you feel the burn as I take the turn away from your distant voice?

I turn back for you until I see
The sight of you looking back at me.
I grab your hand, take you off this land
Away from everything not as they seem
And teach the real reason to dream.

I see from behind
The tears of the mind.
I live to dream
And dream to smile.
