It is most certainly art.
The layout is a little generic, but the content is pretty good :)
Ya. He goes to this forum. His name is Pubbles.
BUBBLES BUBBLES!!!! my bubbles.... (Finding Nemo)
k, so it's not pubbles but it's close...
Floe?? Has anyone seen Floe?!
I'm flattered that someone other than myself posted something about my website!
I have much improved the layout. It's still pretty generic, but more self-explanitory and I think it looks cooler.
P.S. If you have any suggestions about how to improve, do tell.
It could use some consistency...It seems kind of...all-over-the-place right now with the colour scheme/fonts/layout. I'd suggest giving it an overall expression which is reflected throughout the site, and use colours which work well together...
I dunno how much you know about web design, but think of it like a car - you wouldn't paint it four different colours that don't go together, right? A couple different colours are fine, as long as they work - blue/grey for instance, red/black, pink/white (jk ;) ), etc...
Unless entropy is the idea, bring it together brother :)
Well, I tried to do that with a theme of black, white, red and blue. I guess I mainly need a little more detail about whats wrong with the color scheme.
Okay, well the colour scheme isn't really TOO big an issue, it's more the layout. The opposing button types are kind of awkward, and the space on the left isn't particularly eye catching...there doesn't appear to be any real reason to have a vertical and horizontal button bar, unless I'm missing something.
Yes, that's a very good point. I just recently added the buttons on the side, and I'm not terribly pleased with them. I'll try putting it into a menubar on the top, and possibly have the two buttons types be more harmonious.
Mainly, the site is sort of strange due to it's accumulation of things of such different varieties that have all left their mark. I'll fix it as soon as I find the effort to do so.
OK, I need some feedback on this.
I wanted to get rid of the buttons on the side on the Pubbles.com main page, but keep the basic idea so that it's easier for people to navigate to what they want, so I made a modified version of the menu bar. I'm not too pleased with it either, but it's a start. let me know what you guys think:
Original main page: (Click Here)
New main page: (Click Here) - Disregard the broken links and missing images. I'm just worried about the menu bar for now.
If I could have some feedback on how to change the format before making it official, that'd be awesome.
Thanks,
Pubbles
It looks much better that way. Much much better :)
I think you should somehow combine games, puzzles, and humor & entertainment. Make your buttons more general, so people can find what they want easier.
Well, I made some that match several categories. For example, hangman qualifies for games & puzzles
Aliright, I changed it again, and now I think I'm done:
New Version
I still kept the category button, but I relocated them and improved the layout. It look a lot better now (or at least I hope it does, considering this is my third try!)
Looks good too. Great improvement :)
Thanks!
And also, thanks for taking the time to check it out. I really appreciate it.
Not a problem
Always here to help a brother (or sister!) out :D
