      Praying Mantids! (LOTs'O'photos)

      At my work we sell praying mantis eggs. We normally keep them in the cooler but in spring we sell them. Once they warm up over a few weeks they hatch. And when that happens, we cant sell them. So I take the baby mantids and put them outside where we sell our plants. A few weeks ago I came across two and took them home with me. Now they're in my garden.

      I have larger sized pictures but cant get them on here.

      Omg!! How cool!!! I have a new appreciation for bugs because I have to raise some for a class...
      Unfortunately they look like the kind of bug that only a mother could love. I'd love to raise one of those! Really nice close ups.

      I used to love playing with praying mantids when I was a kid. I would let them walk all over my hand and whatnot. But now they kinda creep me out, lol

      Those are so cool, one of my favorite bugs. I like how they really seem to be looking at you with their little alien faces.
