      Animation/GIF in Adobe CS2

      Hey guys,

      I have CS2 on my PC, I don't really know why I got the whole package because I only use Photoshop, but wanting to start making some animation or GIFs which program can I do that in? There is soooo much which comes with CS2 and I have tried looking at them but none seem to be able to do animation?

      Maybe they cant?

      File -> Edit in ImageReady

      That or Shift+Ctrl+M.

      I really wouldn't use imageready if I were you. I do not know of a more awkward-to-use bit of software.

      How is it awkward?
      Has all the functions of Photoshop, which is the image editing application...

      And for huge animations, anything will be awkward in an attempt to make a GIF.
      There's Flash and whatnot for such endeavours.

      You can make gif's in Photoshop, just go window, or maybe view, and open the Animation Tab. Or for longer things, Like Merlock Said, Flash is awsome.

      AfterEffects is specifically catered for animation. With the saving options and all such. Hence, why it has the animation window and all such open by absolute default.

      Using AfterEffects for gifs is like using Photoshop for regular images -- can't get much better. I remember searching for gif animation software...there's just nothing better than AfterEffects, since it's basically Photoshop for animations.
