      Yelizaveta's art

      Hey guys,
just thought I would share with you some art. As of now I have only one thing I can share but later I will post photographs of more of my art. I do several things; I make jewelry, i am an amateur photogapher, and I also view cooking as art, especially making sushi, so I will post a pic of some of my more artistic sushi dinner arrangements here. I also play the didjeridu and have made 2 of them, and will take and post photographs here. For now I can only offer a piece of jewelry which i am selling on ebay:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=tab%3DSelling
if you want to see it. The rest I will post when I have time to take photographs; my university is raping my free time right now...
the necklace I'm selling is similar to the one in my sig, and if any of you like it I would be happy to make another one like it for you and mail it out, just PM me. I am going to start trying to sell my jewelry in chicago area boutiques soon too.

So i'll stick to trying to sell in boutiques. Whenever I have the time to go even show my stuff to one...

      Very nice stuff Yelizaveta.
Is that difficult to make -time and finding the stones and such?

Have you seen Aquaninas' jewelry? I bet you would like it.

What on earth is a didjeridu?

      Hey,
the most difficult part is thinking of an original idea. Tonight i will photograph my best and most recent stuff and post it.
I go to a big jewelry convention that comes to the chicago burbs every three months to get the stones, they have everything from glass beads to all sorts of natural stone beads all the way to diamonds. Obviously, I don't buy diamonds. I usually tend to stick to natural stone beads, like the ones on the necklace on the photograph. I will post more soon!
A didjeridu is an australian aboriginal instrument. A real didjeridu is made by taking a suitable log and placing it over a termite hill and waiting until the termites eat the entire inside of the log, then painting the outside, making a wax mouthpiece, etc.
The you play it by sort of vibrating your lips and contracting your diaphragm in different ways to produce different sounds.

      Nice jewelry, Yeliza!

And I've always loved the sound of a didjeridu. Heh.

Ok, finally, i have some photos to share! Of the sushi, of my jewelry, and of my didj! The didj photos are reeaaaally bad quality; a didj is not inherently photogenic and the lighting was bad, but I want to give you guys a general idea of what one looks like.
      Here goes:

Necklace and Earrings of Irridescent Stone (Not sure exactly what it is)

      Shell Necklace and Earrings

      Garnet Pendant and Ring

and lastly, my artistic sushi dinner:
