Thread: I'm pretty sure I haven't posted this yet.

No shading on the face or the black garments.
I'm so criticising and not nice.

Still, better than anything I've ever drawn...since I've never really drawn anything.

Uh, yeah, the "black" garments do have shading. I don't know what your monitor is like, but it's pretty clear on mine. If you're calling it black, I'd guess your monitor is darker than mine since it's a deep brown here. Though there is very little shading on the face; only under the nose and lips.

Hm, I had to zoom in and, aye, only then was I able to see the difference between the outline and the filling of the dark garments. But still didn't see any shading. On the face either.

But, aye, my monitor isn't dark. On the contrary, it's too light, which is probably why I can't tell subtle colours apart...though that's odd, still.

But as for the face, no shading from things like the hair that's atop it and such makes it look flat, while it's apparently drawn at an angle?

What program did you use?

I suspected that. Good choice.

Looks good to me, Mark. The boots could use some work, perhaps, and aye, a bit more shading on the face maybe, but overall quite good.

I would also like to see her other hand holding her hand, because it looks like she's missing an arm...

Those are some big... err... feet, and she appears to be missing an arm.

Err, feet? They look about right to me. Compared with the length of the fore arm, they match up. Consider that she's wearing boots and the forearm is also at a slight angle as well.

I usually keep separate topics in different threads. I consider the discussion of each picture its own topic which makes me wonder why I put that other one in this one. Also, I want to draw attention away from my older pictures. If anyone is so inclined to see them, they need only look for the older threads.

Heh, well, technically both the "norks" and feet are simply misdirected. It's like you tried drawing her at an angle but half the elements remained flat. So the result is reminiscent of ancient Egyptian wall illustrations.

I know what you mean, but I have to say I think it looks fine.

I think the left foot could be turned outward some...

And now that I look at it...I can't tell which way her body is facing.
