      Some music

I thought i might post up some of my music. I'll stick to the more conventional stuff for now. They're both metal pieces. It should be noted, first, that these are not in final form. They are rough, and there are plenty of issues with mixing and just general production, so i know my guitar tone isn't very good, and i know there's some slight clipping in a couple of places, and i know the drums and the bass could both do with some work etc.

Mr. Swigney's Whismical Fascination Machine - This piece was inteded as a tech-metal kind of thing. I had written another few minutes on top of the almost one and a half present here, but i ended up not liking it, so lopped it off. I wrote this a couple of years ago, and i doubt it will ever be resumed.

Skin Deep - A bit more progression here, and a bit more length to it (5 mins). I may end up re-doing this one and continuing it at some point, as i do quite like where i was going with it. The leads are 90% improv, which is not one of my strong points But i'm pretty pleased with them considering. The shreddy bit during the last lead was only ever inteded to mark the spot by the way, i know it does sound great. And yeah, some sloppy picking during those fast riffs too.

The first one reminds me a lot of Dream Theater. The second one has a cool vibe to it. I liked them both. The drums patterns are really cool sounding. The guitar playing could be smoothed out a bit but for rough takes that isn't a super huge issue. There were parts of the second one where it just seemed like more could be happening, maybe make the bass play some cool lines. I liked them though, love to hear more.

Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it! Yeah the guitar tone is pretty bad to begin with, so if ever i pick these back up again they would be re-recorded and i'd actually practise the riffs so i knew what i was playing

And Dream Theater are one of my all time favs, so that makes sense.
